these sockets should be illegal in any electrical code book around the world, because 1. plugs fit loosely and make bad contact; 2. plugs can slide out and expose mains voltage to be touched; 3. some grounded plugs can't contact the grounding contacts of the socket

the picture shows a partially pulled out german style plug in a socket designed for multiple different plugs that doesn't really fit any plug well
