Common buzzard over the Seven Arches (Balmossie) Viaduct in Broughty Ferry. A bit later one was heard kewing loudly overhead which caused the dipper I was watching to keep glancing upwards. First time I've heard a buzzard in this area: they normally hunt silently here. 📷📸🎞️🪶 #birds #ukwildlife

A male ichneumonid seen on my first visit to Trottick Ponds in Dundee last week. No ovipositor and about 2-3 cm long so quite large for the family? I was hoping to identify it but it seems that's almost impossible for males like this! 📷📸🎞️ #bugs #ukwildlife

One of two rats pausing to look at me from the base of a tree at Trottick Ponds. A couple and their husky sat down on a bench a couple of metres away from them and much closer than me. They and the rats appeared be oblivious of each other. 📷📸🎞️ #rats

Common darter (male?) briefly resting among the bullrushes in Trottick ponds. They suddenly appeared when the sun was shining strongly enough with one bopping my hat as it passed. Several blue dragonflies were seen, likely migrant hawker, but no clear pictures for ID. 📷📸🎞️ #dragonflies #ukwildlife
