Do you ever process into the night or even the middle of the night? Lately, that is me! I know a lot of people don’t enjoy the process of editing an image or find it intimidating. I enjoy it! New Gallery being released soon. Subscribe to my newsletter and check it out when it’s out. #RMNP

I have found so much beauty and challenging photo opportunities while on this trip. The challenge is definitely welcomed and I can’t get over how beautiful and green everything is. The moss is everywhere on trees, rocks, sticks, floor and so vibrant! #canada #britishcolombia #smallscenes #moss

I have continued work on my 365 Project. Not all photos turn out every time but, I have had fun creating these images. The super cool thing is also that most of these images have been created in my backyard. These are lines on the snow

I photographed this coleus plant sometime last year. I had previously photographed the rusted color one which came out beautiful (in my opinion) I failed to focus stack thus one properly. Live and learn right.

#MonochromeMonday I created this image while visiting #LonePineCA back in April. It was during midday and just on the front yard of the house we were staying at. Got to love the #zoom on my Nikkor 100-400 Happy Monday! #NikonZ8 #california #landscapephotography #womenphotographers

I forgot I had this one. The third in the set of those square single dune photos (I have a whole SD card full of unprocessed sand photos so hang on tight!)

I don’t turn on the news but my feeds are full of all the atrocities. Hard not to get overwhelmed. How about I share these pretty sparkly seed pods I photographed today.

I am still going strong on my 365 project. This is from outside my door. I laid down on the floor inside the house, opened the sliding door, stuck the camera out and took this shot. Not bad for being lazy! 🤪😂

The only solace with all this nonsense is that, not all republicans agree with the child president. Some have actual brains. Gov agencies are created by congress not an executive order and a lot of those republican congressman are up for re-election. Child president is a lane duck.

I loved this image even before I created it. When I came upon this scene, I felt that warm and tingly feeling I get when finding something special. #marthamontielphotography #z8 #womenlandscapephotographers #minimalism

“Conversations” I remember the moment I created this photo. I walked back and forth for what seemed like forever. My lack of planning meant I was figuring it out on the fly. In the end, I probably walked at least a mile and a half just to land on this composition—but it was worth it.

I love this simple dune images. They are more like geometric abstracs in a way. I think they are peaceful. I love the play of shadow and light as well as textures. #nikonphotography #naturephotos #dunes

I created a panorama image of Alabama hills with Mt Whitney seen on the far right here in this photo. To view the full pano you can go to my website. Posted under “recent” work. I stitched 36 images together and it turned out pretty nice.

Last on this set. Honestly, I was super frustrated. I put expectations on myself and pressure. That’s never good.

Here is a set of images I captured in November 2024. I spent a few days in NY and visited Central Park. There were a few trees left with some fall color. The other images of moss, lichen etc were shot in Connecticut. Can you spot the small spider in the first image?
