Galena is a lead sulphide mineral, that usually forms in deposits created by hydrothermal fluids. It has a metallic luster with a beautiful bluish grey color to it. Typically it forms in either massive chunks as in veins or as cubic crystals inside pockets. #rocks #minerals #geology #mining #galena

Vanadinite is a Vanadium bearing Phosphate mineral that occurs in the oxidizing zones of lead deposits. It's frequently found in the form of beautiful red to red hexagonal crystals, and makes a great collectors mineral. This one comes from Morocco. #geology #rocks #minerals #red #crystals
