Finished a new digital piece! I'm in one roleplay as Alan so he's been on my mind a lot. I must say I really like his concept... #digitalart #ocart #OCsky

Alan laying on the ground holding his head. He has an angelic halo and wings that have a few stray feathers fluttering down. He doesn't have a face, only sketchy lines showing where it would be. Behind him is a plane of glass that shows the blury outline of a living room and text "IGNORANCE IS BLISS".

Lineless art of Alan laying on the ground holding his head as if in pain or cowering. He has a halo and wings with a few stray feathers fluttering down. He doesn't have a face, only sketchy lines showing where it would be. In this version he's alone in a dark void, words "IGNORANCE IS BLISS" placed behind his figure.

Whoops, sorry about the radio silence here! I haven't been drawing much lately so I didn't have much to post- But here's a commission I drew for Joshnya! #digitalart #artcommission #sketchvsfinal

Digital art of an android girl looking upwards. She forms a heart with her hands - curled fingers and palms against each other. There are hearts and sparkles in her eyes.

Sketch version of the digital piece where the composition is the same but the hands and coat have rougher lines.

One more attack for the road even if I finished this post-AF. Beep belongs to Toppy! Mm meat and berries... #artfight2026 #teamcomedy #digitalart #pirin

Halfbody of a pirin with a wizard hat and staff crouching down and drooling at a rare steak with red berries on top of it.

The “better” generative AI gets, the clearer its shortcomings become. Every piece of AI “art” has the same gloss. Every AI flyer has the same aesthetic. They’re the homogenized average of all AI’s ripped and anyone can tell now - and avoid your business. “When everyone’s super, no one will be.”

Final AF attack against HampterLover! Anastasia is a space princess, but is she worthy of her title? #artfight2026 #teamcomedy #digitalart #linelessart

Anastasia laying on her stomach hugging a heart-shaped pillow on her side while looking down at her tiara that she holds in her left hand, looking thoughtful.

Messy sketch version of the Anastasia art showing her surrounded by more pillows and the name of the piece written down next to her.

Second to last AF attack - character belongs to ForkYammington! Should Adela go with the purse that matches her beret or the one that brings out her eyes..? #artfight2026 #teamcomedy #digitalart #sketchvsfinal

Adela holding up two purses - one yellow with flower patterns and clover & flower pins - and one black with a web pattern and spider & heart charms. As she has 4 arms, she holds one hand up to her lips and rests one on her hip.

Sketch version of Adela art where most details are rough. Main difference is that instead of pins, one bag has moon and star charms hanging from it and her shirt's slightly longer.

Herman the merman laying on his side with a beer can and a fish in his mouth (instead of a flower), giving the viewer a flirty look. Background consists of textured sand, a sand castle, ocean waves and a couple birds flying in the distance.

AF attack 3 - revenge for Night_Knight ft. Robin! Y'all familiar with the concept of short rest in DnD that effectively heals you? #artfight2026 #teamcomedy #digitalart #linelessart

Pencil sketch of Robin resting his head against his knee, having a short nap. There is a single rose and a bunch of crosses on the background.

Finished digital piece of an orc using his own knee as a pillow, healing magic surrounding him overhead, referencing the fact he's a healer effectively healing himself.

Two characters leaning against an oversized fly agaric, a cake tray full of treats between them. Blair is happily watching a snail on her finger while Oswinn stares into the distance with a grin on his face. On the foreground are cookies placed iver the overall picture, the decor on them saying "Try me!" and "Take one". There is green fog raising from the ground.

I may be a bit late to this but I couldn't resist hopping onto the trend, worm designs are so fun to draw! #DrawYourWormsona

Worm on a string -themed character with grey fur, white stomach and black spots. There's white blush on its cheek and white splatter on its snout, similar to paint. It's wearing a black-and-white party hat and medieval-type white collar. Its tail ends in a string-like swirl. The string tied around its snout ends on a jingle bell. It has a horn on its head, a small wing floating atop of it and one of its eyes is replaced by a white flower. It also has bangs.

I feel I've posted enough about Alan and Spinaché, so here's a new character: Mr. Starlight! Completely self-indulgent TV-head version of Junior that slowly but surely became his own character and part of a more complex story. Big Tenna & Mr. Puzzles kinnie. artfight.net/character/79...

TV-headed robot character wearing a detailed film-themed coat, big ribbon around his neck, cartoony white gloves and dresspants that are split black-and-white both in the middle and at the ends. The face on the screen changes to reflect Mr. Starlight's emotions, paired with a holograph at the top of his head that changes from a crown to a dunce-cone. The TV-screen has cracks in the bottom-right corner that cause glitches. A long cord starting from his head acts like a tail.

Actual CG from the visual novel Drippy Date with the game's title placed atop Spinaché's head - goopy, dripping - so it somewhat resembles a flower crown or something.

Made another silly comic for another silly lore drop poorly disguised as a devlog! Check the link for full context~ #DrippyDate #visualnovel #OCsky marsa-thing.itch.io/drippy-date/...

Spinaché leaning against a kitchen stove, happily chatting with someone despite a knife sticking out of its chest. Next to her is a zoomed-in picture of her hand on the stove, shifting due to the heat.

Spinaché takes her hand away from the stove, leaving a burnt green stain on it as she holds onto her arm with a pained/fearful expression. It's revealed that she was talking to worried Rue, who's holding a bag of ice.

Rue applies the ice bag on Spinaché's burnt hand without asking, Spinaché appears shocked as a cold blue spreads across her arm.

Rue appears shocked as Spinaché's formerly burnt, now frozen arm cracks and falls onto the floor. Spinaché appears only a little upset despite the situation.

3. What do you post on Bluesky? Art, nature photos, project updates. Still trying to figure out the game plan here - should I only post new stuff or embrace reposts?

000

Marsa Thing @marsathing.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

2. Why Bluesky? I actually had to research social media platforms as part of my thesis - Bluesky was different from the rest, seemed fairly ethical and I already knew a bunch of people that used Bluesky as their go-to (not mutuals but artists and VAs), so it seemed like a good place to be.

210

Marsa Thing @marsathing.bsky.social · 04/05/2026

1. Any other social media? I've got a super inactive Tumblr (and LinkedIn)! I used to have Instagram and Facebook but deleted both accounts to boycott some policy changes. I also have ArtFight if that counts? But yeah Bluesky is my main now.

Be silly and delightful with your words themselves. Alliteration is fun! Rhythm is a joy. Describe things in weird ways. Use ridiculous words even when you don't need to. Make the words themselves as fun and engaging to read as the story and characters they describe.

New devlog! It's a silly extra bit I've been meaning to post for a while, but it answers some questions about slime anatomy (and offers context to this comic) #DrippyDate #visualnovel #OCsky marsa-thing.itch.io/drippy-date/...

Spinaché standing by a table pulling a "strand" of hair that breaks loosely from her head. In front of her is a board with a single strand on it. Above her head is the word "collect"

Spinaché sets the "hair strand" down on the board next to the other strand, the spot she pulled a strand from dripping unevenly. Next to her is the word "dry"

Spinaché cutting three "hair strands" above a chopping board, the knife coming down on her left thumb while holding the board still. Next to her is the word "chop"

Spinaché carries the cut strands away while humming a song. Behind her is the chopping board with a knife left standing and an abandoned piece of thumb. By her head is the word "store"
