Someone crashed a car into our local bookstore last night. It's Independent Bookstore Day. 📚 If you're looking to support a local business, might I suggest The Book Jewel thebookjewel.com

broken glass, oil, broken bookshelves and books litter the floor of a bookstore. Books on shelves in the background.

Congressman Joaquin Castro is calling for a federal investigation into WB for its handling of Coyote vs Acme. Tactic of scrapping fully made films for tax breaks is predatory and anti-competitive. it’s like burning down a building for the insurance money.” (Source: variety.com/2023/film/ne... )

Vampires even technically have their origins in the Bible with Alukah, a witch that would attack Jewish cattle and drainthe blood from their necks. Although she was more wolf like than bat like. The bat comparison has some mythological basis in Aztec myth I believe. But is also scientific

The Judges deemed him a heretic and had him flogged and banished. Yet still it helps make a really interesting dynamic with werewolves being divine creatures of night and working class while the vampires are domic creatures if night and are rich.

The divine origins of werewolves date back to the witch Trials. A man named Thiess of Kaltenbrun A Swedish man accused of witchcraft in 1692 He claimed in his defense that he was a werewolf and thst they were hounds of God. That they were created to fight Satan and his witches.

That isn't to say the concept of a werewolf is entirely Christian in origin but from a writing stand point it's considerably interesting with all Vampires being wealthy aristocrats usually while werewolves are usually salt of the earth working folk.

So one thing always found interesting is everyone talks about and knows the demonic origins of Vampires but no one ever thinks about the holy origins of werewolves.

Lackadaisy episodes and mini-episodes are in varying stages of production now, but we're also working on some extra little vignettes so that we can have something to show before year's end.
