Sorry, but criticism is overrated! As if it's not enough that I'm already self-critical...💁🏻‍♀️ I truly believe that a self-aware artist knows very well what their strengths and weaknesses are! #artist #illustrators

Hello #KidLitArtPostcard 🥳 I'm Sasha and I'm a UK based illustrator looking for work and representation. Below is a cover I recently did for Bookmark Reading Charity 🥰🧸 🎨 sashastowe.com 💌 sashastowe@gmail.com #illustration #coverart

An illustration of 7 children in a reception year class, both indoors and outdoors. They're drawing, reading, playing with play dough, on a swing and playing hopscotch. The scene is very colourful and was used for the cover of the Story Starter Programmes magazine for Bookmark Reading Charity in the UK.

I'm looking for a new project as a children's book illustrator. Lately, it’s been really difficult to find projects or connect with the right clients or agents, and I truly want to keep doing what I love. Let’s keep storytelling alive, one page at a time. #childrensbook #picturebooks #illustration

2/2What do you think? Can BlueSky ever truly replace what Twitter was, or is it destined to be something different entirely?

1/2 I’d love for BlueSky to evolve into a space where the writing and creative communities flourish again, but it seems like it’s missing something or maybe it just needs time to grow.

Marrillu @marrillu.bsky.social · 16/11/2024

Now that many users are moving to BlueSky, I was hoping it could capture that same energy and life. But honestly, I’m not sure it feels as alive as Twitter did in its prime. It’s like the spark isn’t quite there yet.

Ahh I really appreciate it! This is music for my ears! It's a pleasure to hear this definitely! 😍

2/2 For every artist, it's important to revisit old sketches only when they're "ready" for it. There's a lot to be found and understood about the present in that process. I completely agree that it's pure magic. (The technical side is not the essence of sketching.) #kidlit #artist #sketches

1/2 Honestly, it's important to look with the right perspective. I deeply believe that there are no bad sketches. Sketches are a reproduction of our feelings at a given moment. Every feeling is valid.
