Suguru spends a week dreaming about the specific shade of blue of the heir's sleeve before allowing himself to consider what might lie beneath it. He dreams of sleeves and limbs reaching for him. He dreams of being pulled into the darkness. He wakes hard and annoyed with himself, trying to banish such thoughts from his head, trying to force himself to stop thinking.

But it does not stop. It only leaves a kind of unnerving dizziness. A need.

A hunger.

Suguru cannot help watching the blind evermore closely for another sign, but it will be weeks more of quiet calculation before the heir allows himself to be seen again.

At his words the blankness of Suguru’s face drops until it becomes even more shallow. It’s eerie, something there and gone in his expression. Is that how his own face had looked when responding to a command, all those innocent come here’s that pulled his body beyond his control?

Because the binding vow works both ways, of course. Free to use and never negotiated between them; an unspoken trust that until now had been taken lightly. Suguru calling him over, Suguru making subtle suggestions. Suguru telling him to come or go or sit or stay.

Now he feels a little flutter in his stomach as Suguru stands slowly, crossing the desk one foot in front of the other, eyes unblinking and trained on him. And when Suguru steps in front of him the only thing on his mind is what it would be like to command him to kneel at his feet. To suck, lips and tongue and hot breath until Satoru told him to stop. He swallows hard, down against the words and sudden urge to keep them there together instead.

But Suguru slowly takes his hand, fingers gentle. Suguru turns, tugging his arm.

Wordless, Suguru leads them from the room.

He shifts a little on the desk, busying himself with turning one of the clean brushes over in his fingers, passing the bristled end over his palm. If that's Suguru's part to play, then his is to be utterly shameless.

"Changing me. You know," he makes a jerking motion with his hand indicating a missing part of his anatomy. "And all the rest. Maybe just for a little?"

Suguru hums without lifting his head. "We can do whatever elder brother wishes."

Satoru is perched on the edge of Suguru’s desk watching the way he carefully inks a warding talisman, sigils curling intricately across the delicate paper. Suguru looks up at him, brush hovering over the page, but his look of confusion quickly rights itself.

“Try what, Satoru,” Suguru asks lightly, going back to his brushstrokes and doing a poor job of disguising a small smile. He can hear the tone in his voice. It’s the tone that says I know perfectly well what Satoru means I would just like him to say it out loud. As a treat.

Separation still seems to have a time limit that only slowly increases over time. They fall into a pattern. Mornings are easiest for being apart, a softness that lasts until lunchtime. By then the thing under Satoru's skin begins to buzz, like it pulls him in some other direction. The direction of Suguru, wherever that may be. By the time the sun has crested and begins to fall the only thing that will settle the wild vibrations in Satoru's limbs is Suguru: his fingers, his lips, his tongue and cock. The best days they are already in bed together. The worst days, stubborn and pushing themselves too far find him crawling across the room on his knees to Suguru like the man is an oasis. On others, Suguru stumbles crashing across the room, kicking their sparse furniture out of the way to get to him, tipping Satoru back against whatever surface is near to fuck him.
But even this ravenous desire feels familiar.

In comparison, the scar across his body is new and takes getting used to.
