I even tried a native dogwood (Redosier dogwood, Cornus sericea )bush from seed (berries). It took 10-15 years before I saw any bushes from the seeding of the shoreline. The root system is twice the size of what is above ground and is great for soil retention on a steep bank or the water’s edge 🌱
