Corals don’t just live off sunlight 🌞, they also feed on tiny plankton 🦐 We show that corals 🪸selectively incorporate nitrogen and fatty acids from feeding, while carbon tracers often miss this input - meaning heterotrophy and its functional role may be underestimated. @leibniz-zmt.de #CoralResearch
