I’m finally seeing Sinners tonight yay. I’ve avoided a lot of the discourse on it, and I hope it’s not annoying when I join. #Blacksky #booksky

Had a lovely walk in the sprinkling rain with a professor while walking back to the department and it’s one of my fave things that have happened since starting my PhD. I wish for more moments of humanisms here. #Blackademics #academicsky #academicchatter #phdsky

This and the whole storytime (thx for sharing). As someone who grew up with that conditioning straight from the family, I can attest it is truly difficult to deprogram. (Cont.) #academicsky #academicchatter #writingsky

I used to hate speaking in “generationals” when it first became a thing, bc it was giving divide and conquer. It still is, but I think more of us talk with nuance about it now. I like this vid from Becauseimmissy_ on YouTube (cont.) #academicsky #booksky #academicchatter youtu.be/mjHGucZCYU0?...

Believe it or not! The roller skating community often refers to skates as “8-wheels of freedom.” 🛼💨 #skating #rollerskating #skate #skater #rollerskate #Skate #Community #QuadSkating #RollerRink #RetroSkating

I agree with the “liberals and maggots are alike” argument to an extent. To compare them makes sense within the context of a binary and levels of extremity (cont.) #academicsky #academicchatter #phdsky

Bc social awareness has dimmed significantly in the last 20-30 years as hyper-individualism has ramped up to the X-treme. #Blackademics #academicsky #academicchatter #phdsky

Literally. The nail should have stayed in the coffin in 2020. This pedestalizing truly has something to do with fanaticism and religion in the west but my brain can’t today. #Blackademics #academicsky #academicchatter

Facts, but weirdly they hate themselves. They think they love themselves, and it either manifests as self-aggrandizement or a painful adherence to authoritarianism. All in all, they truly hate themselves. That, and the concept of “freedom” is just inaccessible. #Blackademics #academicsky #phdsky

Interesting skeet inception I just got into between what Black folks seem to be doing during this critical time and what we’re *actually doing. My head is spinning and I have many thoughts—cause this has been in my mind. I gotta get ready to teach. WTF is going on? #Blacksky #Blackademics

Also, this job totally made me understand that trope of the power-trippy RA in college media or whatever. Only in my experience it was turned in-ward and the veterans took it out against us either in exclusion or being infantilizing (and some of us were older than them) #Blacksky #academichatter
