I’ve remodeled my office for the developer I'm becoming. New sit/stand desk, ultrawide monitor, Windows desktop, mic arm, and shelves for the Funko collection. A few months of work, and it finally feels like a real dev setup.

Going to swap out the old Dell laptop for a Windows desktop. Took a trip to Micro Center to pick up a PowerSpec pre-built. The rumors that Black Friday wouldn't offer better deals convinced me to buy now rather than wait. Now I just need time to unbox it and set it up. #PrebuiltPC #MicroCenter

Just received my copy of The Rust Programming Handbook by @francescociulla.bsky.social. Rust is on my learning roadmap. I've followed Francesco for years and have always enjoyed his content, so I'm looking forward to digging into this when I get to learning Rust. Thanks for putting this together!

After years of running dual monitors, I finally made the jump to an ultrawide monitor. The biggest surprise isn’t the size, it’s how much cleaner and more focused the entire workspace feels with a single display.

I’m moving from a dual monitor setup to an ultrawide monitor and can’t wait to see what having all that extra screen space does for my workflow. #Developer #Programming #DevLife #WorkspaceSetup

Phase 3 complete. The Uplift desk is assembled, flipped, and the motors are fully functional. Up next: wall prep, shelving, and final cable management next week. Getting closer to a finished workspace.

Office Renovation: Phase 2 My old desk is officially gone. On Wednesday I'll be assembling my new Uplift sit/stand desk. For now I'm using one of my storage cube organizers as a standup desk with my laptop on top of it. #BuildingInPublic #DeveloperLife #HomeOffice

Working on an office renovation this week to modernize my office. On Monday I got rid of the old bookshelf and am replacing it with two dark colored storage cube organizers. One will go behind where I sit and the other to the left of my desk. #Workspace #TechSetup #HomeOffice

Blizzard warning in Minnesota: 12–18 inches and 45 mph winds. Hoping the power stays on so I can get some coding done.

Today was a huge day. My daughter Aspyn started Kindergarten. She’s 5 and was very excited to start school. Proud dad moment! If you’re a parent in tech or pivoting into tech I’d love to connect. #TechDad #ProudDad #DadLife #TechJourney

This smile says it all. Our little guy Jett just turned 6 months old! As someone changing careers into tech, parenting while learning to code is a wild ride. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. #TechDad #ParentingInTech #CareerChange #DevLife

Took a week off from coding to go to Florida with my family. Had some great time at the beach and got to touch some sand. Also being the space geek I am was able to see 4 rocket launches and had a tour of NASA. Feel refreshed now. Back to coding on Monday.
