Great news for children and parents as the new special school for Kildare is confirmed to be opening in the autumn, as reported by KFM today. The Ros Glas Community Special School will be based at the former St Peter’s Boys School, with enrolment open from 24th August to 11th September.

Only 4.4% of those in receipt of Carer’s Allowance are also getting the Fuel Allowance. Given the fuel crisis and the increased energy needs of caring households I am calling for the Fuel Allowance to be extended to all those on Carer’s Allowance now.
