I think it's a near 100% certainty that the vast majority of the well-off who fetishize manual labor, have never done manual labor. I've worked as a roofer, carpenter's assistant, summer relief in a can manufacturing facility, etc. The sense of accomplishment was gratifying, but I don't miss it.
