Giri 9.5-8.5 Hans Niemann blitz match on endgame.ai Giri looked dead and buried but won the last four games. In the final game he was down to the increment when Niemann had 90 seconds. That should have been a losing position on the clock. Games and results: theweekinchess.com/chessnews/ev...

Carlsen has a choice. Get paid good money to play exhibition chess, with not much on the line, or play with more at stake and be an elite sportsman. The potential for pain is a part of this. Nakamura's mild reaction to resigning a won position vs Carlsen in the Chess.com classic was very telling.
