The whole WPBL is a cool (and historic) baseball story but how great in a sport in which offense dominated that the league's much-heralded pitcher, who appeared to have had a rough year, pitches a shutout in the decisive game to win the championship. That's great.

Some of the positional leaders for Defensive Runs Saved have pretty big gaps between themselves and their counterparts. Impressive years for Wilyer Abreu, Taylor Walls, Cody Bellinger, Brice Turang, and Ty France in sticking out from the rest of the crowd defensively.
