Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 23/01/2025@richardjmurphy.bsky.social do you think it's dangerous adopt for MMT when politicians will clearly abuse money printing for their own corrupt ends? As the bond market would be irrelevant, how could there be accountability? 040
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 30/11/2024It's bad (wages stagnant for last 50 years), but it's gonna get a whole lot worse! 010
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 30/11/2024Nice, I used to do this stuff all the time. Favourite was to do towers diagonally to the top right xD 020
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Well, he brags about manipulating the general public into voting certain ways. Says a lot about his character. But I suppose the fact they make such a big thing about any individual could that there may be fewer with those views? 010
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 27/11/2024I feel it varies, Gen Z probably feel absolutely written off so don't care - covid lock downs which only benefited the old, who don't understand they benefit from gov policies but have since voted away those benefits for the younger generations. Millennials have a more optimistic outlook. 100
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 26/11/2024New MAGA voters who are naive to politics and fall for Trumps lies... 000
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Very, considering loads of Bernie supporters have switched to Trump. This key voter set lost the Dems the election as they know the Dems are always going to ignore Sanders, they voted for change as they're sick of rampant neoliberalism. 000
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 25/11/2024But without cracking the security of the voting system I fail to see how this is possible. To be able to do anything they'd have to crack Dominions encryption (exceedingly hard). Bullet ballots are probably new MAGA folk. I believe the bigger issue is vote challenging... www.saveyourvote.orgsaveyourvote.orgStop the Vigilantes - Check Your RegistrationDon't let 40,000 VigilantesTake away your Right to Vote!! 400

Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 25/11/2024I feel they're trying to find things to do, avoiding the elephant in the room (austerity caused by neoliberalism). 0100
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 21/11/2024Whenever I see Obama I think "Oh, that guy who drank clean water in front of the population of Flint who had their water poisoned. What a prick" 000
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 14/11/2024Yeah, and Kamala's pro-war rhetoric basically ensured she was unelectable to some. People aren't inspired by the 2 parties available, so stayed home (would be nuts if they all voted independent) Seems Putin is actively trying his best to escalate things with Trump now, making fun of him on state TV. 110
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 13/11/2024For the WASPs that's true. But generally I think the cultural shift they want is to "go back to the 50's": A man could support a whole family on his wage, be respected & live the American dream. They're sold the lie that neocon / neolib ideology gets them there, but it never will. 100
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 13/11/2024The MAGA lot want to be part of something greater, a cultural shift. Kamala doesn't offer that, no imagination, voters get disinterested. Both Sanders and Trump tell a story, have the drama of the relatable people they're standing up for / against. They'll only vote Dems next time for fear of Reps. 100
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 13/11/2024Yeah, it'll be insane and hopefully the MAGA lot (half don't believe he'll do what he said he'll do) folk snap out of it. But Kamala campaign was weak, only running on cultural issues (abortions & "we're not that guy"). With DNC doing everything to stop Sanders getting to power, people voted Trump. 100
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 13/11/2024I believe the recession, but not sure on the rest. One can only hope. 110
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 13/11/2024Yup, DNC didn't learn a thing from 2016 and decided to run weak campaign based on culture (abortions & "we're not the other guy") with a highly unpopular leader. Truly vain. Should've put Sanders up & they'd win across the board. I fear DNC prefers Trump to be in power as it won't upset their donors 000
Mark @marksaxaphone.bsky.social · 13/11/2024Kamala spaffed the election though, made it a culture war (abortions) rather than the peoples material conditions, ignoring everything Sanders had to say & instead listening to her corporates (Ubers chief lawyer, Tony West) and parading around with Dick Cheney. DNC didn't learn anything from 2016. 000
