Electoral reform: a resounding Yes! Proportional representation: it has great branding, but blinds us to what is best for Canada, and would be the easiest and fairest to implement, and which allows you to vote FOR who you want, rather than AGAINST who you don't: Instant Runoff, aka Ranked Ballot.

If this new council is actually effective, I can get behind it. There is a bit of an issue with differentiating hate. Hate is universal, and it must be eradicated at its core. Differentiating hate validates racist and prejudicial worldviews, and in fact perpetuates it for the future.

I am saddened to hear of Marc Garneau's passing. He made history as the first Canadian in space, going up on Challenger in 1984 He later headed the Canadian Space Agency, before serving as Minister of several portfolios. We need more people like him, with broad life experiences, to be in politics.
