A useful AI coding assistant has four jobs: 1. Teacher: explains concepts. 2. Coach: gives practice and hints. 3. Reviewer: checks your work. 4. Rubber duck: helps you think. My new article: github.com/markjprice/w... My book on Amazon: www.amazon.com/dp/180611125X/

We should stop pretending students won’t use AI while learning to code. I explain how *Web Dev with an AI Sidekick* can support beginner courses with guardrails, prompt patterns, review habits, and practical exercises. Article: github.com/markjprice/w... Book: www.amazon.com/dp/180611125X/

My new book, Web Dev with an AI Sidekick, starts with all the individual techs for web development, then brings them together in a real survey project. AI helps learners ask questions, debug, and check their understanding while they build: github.com/markjprice/w...

A good AI coding assistant is an intellectual exoskeleton. It helps the human lift bigger ideas: APIs, errors, tests, refactoring, docs, and design choices. github.com/markjprice/w...

The worst way to learn web development with AI is to ask it to write code for you. AI should be a sidekick, not a shortcut. It can explain and review, but the learner still has to understand the result: github.com/markjprice/w...

Looks smart! The final of my quartet of .NET 10 books is being copyedited this week so it's on track for a February release. 😀

It usually takes about six months (part-time) to write a first edition technical book with about 750 pages. Subsequent editions can take three months each. (Always longer than you think, because the last 20% of creation/editing takes 80% of the effort.)
