So... @discord.com @discordsupport.bsky.social Care to explain the thing all of the users said not to do, and how you said there wouldn't be any problems, and how you DOUBLED DOWN on it with assurances that nothing bad would happen? Yeah...we told you so...again.

BlueSky apparently added an "AI", called attie. Nobody asked for this. You know what to do.
A screenshot of the last page of the Blue Sky report feature. The option selected as the reason for the report is "Other", the moderation service the report will be sent to is the Bluesky Moderation Service, the final box being for text entry which says the following: "Nobody that uses Blue Sky asked for AI; the tech bros that did should never touch a computer for as long as they live."

Yesterday, November 4, I voted in my local election. Not because there was anything particularly pressing about this year‘s election where I live. But, I voted nonetheless. Vote while you can, you never know if or when you might lose that right.

I made this really simple banner, nothing special at all. 2048 x 2048 px
A square image 2048 by 2048 pixels, with a FFFFCC background color, black text in the center saying "A computer can never be held accountable. Therefore a computer must never make a management decision. IBM circa 1979"

It is really odd, though not surprising in the slightest.
The search tab of the web browser version of Instagram, the search field contains the pound sign followed by the word "Democrat". Results list below the search field shows results that appear to be in French and Spanish, and numbering over 50 thousand posts combined. The search tab of the web browser version of Instagram, the search field contains the pound sign followed by the word "Republican". The results all appear to be in English with the top result alone indicating in excess of 3 million posts.

My parting shot before I deactivated my account:
A screenshot of a scheduled tweet for 14 November 2024 at 7:00AM US Eastern Standard Time.

The tweet reads:
This will be my final tweet on Twitter. Yes, the site is still Twitter. No matter how much an idiot with too much money and no brain says, it's still Twitter. It is a hollow husk of what it once was, but it is still Twitter. Grok that?

A link to a youtube video is at the end, which if followed leads to the song Waiting For The End performed by Linkin Park.

Looking at the product from A Safe Pack, it's dangerously vague in what protection it provides. They claim the plate can stop 7.62 NATO, 7.62x39, and 5.56 NATO. The new standard doesn't have a "Level III+", and RF1 and RF2 use those chamberings for testing. Regardless, it's not NIJ certified.
Screenshot of text reading thusly: Our Bulletproof Backpack Body Armor insert for children is a lightweight Level III+ polyethylene ballistic backpack body armor plate meets National Institute of Justice standards

A Safe Pack’s Level III+ light weight ballistic single-curve plate has been designed and tested to meet the new standards set forth by the National Institute of Justice. Our Level III+ plates are constructed of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE), and are built to last. Considering that the new standard for Level III+ plates means it is capable of stopping 7.62×51mm, 7.62×39mm and 5.56×45mm rounds, this plate passes with flying colors.A data table taken from the US National Institute of Justice charting rifle rounds that are used in respective protection levels of NIJ Standard 0101.07.

I love how it uses the "Yard Sale" question twice, presumably because only two answers were that polarizing. For the record, people do have trouble placing where I grew up just from my voice.

My contribution:
A black field with white text, the text reads as follows: "AI" is a tool to deny artists a paycheck through theft, and wreak havoc upon the environment through energy usage. The wanton abandon of companies, including Adobe, to embrace and force "AI" into anything and everything is indicative of the corporate priority of profit above everything else.

Honestly, the only M1A I would want to own would be the Squad Scout variant. You're not constrained to a proprietary gas block or having to choose from a limited pool of suppressor options.
