Early voting starts in Nashville/Davidson County tomorrow. You can't complain about the direction this nation goes if you don't make your voice heard with your right and privilege put into action...

Mark’s Movie Picks: “The King’s Speech” (2010). The true story King George VI (Colin Firth). He had a stuttering impediment that made public speaking a challenge until he finally meets a maverick specialist, Lionel Hogue (Geoffrey Rush), who begins making inroads. I give it an A+.

TBT: 57 years ago this week an ambitious King Crimson released their debut album on an unsuspecting world. A 21 year-old Greg Lake was the lead singer, bassist & lyricist. His impassioned tenor is so powerful in the lament that is “Epitaph.”

Mark’s Prog Rock Promenade: “The Spider/Portrait (He Knew)” by Kansas (1977). This couplet of an intense 2 minute instrumental leads into a more standard mid-tempo rocker with lyrics about a mysterious hyper-intelligent character.
The opener features numerous time signatures of 6, 5, 8, 7 & 9.
