I finally got to see the results of something I made the design for last year.

A headstone with engraved art of two cats watching over a forested valley. There is a mountain in the distance, based on a photo of Devil's Peak that my father had taken. Celtic knotwork forms a border, traveling through a pair of interlinked wedding bands.

I wanted to keep this in my reel, so I went over the animation from 2017 to put a new layer of polish on it and pulled the textures from the old Houdini RAT files so that I could render it in Maya. I think I've fixed the problem I was having with the sheep rig, so that will be a future project.

I recently animated a shot for @punchcatstudios.bsky.social's Over The Garden Wall Reanimated project! The 2d portion was animated in Toon Boom Animate and then brought into Maya to simulate Fleischer Studios' multiplane camera setup.

Okay, maybe I should replace my car's water pump...

Old water pump. The turbine is missing four out of six blades, and the remaining two have collapsed onto themselves. It probably tickles the coolant more than actually pumping it.

New water pump. No missing blades, very clean.

I've become a fan of the padded cloth style of cone collar. They're relatively cheap, don't get caught on obstacles, are machine washable, and just look at him! He's a big doughnut!

This is an old #animation I did after university while looking for work. The assets were from the last group student film I participated in, Ram's Horn. I later found out that I pulled the wrong sheep copy, which had a broken rig so couldn't be animated. Audio is Street of Dreams by The Ink Spots.

There were a few projects I did for university that revolved around an absolutely stellar bear pun over the course of a few classes for design in animation and 3d modeling, etc.

Two bears, one major, one minor. They have various saws for arms. There are remains of a failed circus act strewn across the floor.

Soviet variant of Ursaw Major, Komrade Bearsaw. He has an eye patch and ushanka, and his torso is encased in machinery.

Earlier this year I was involved in a project where I needed to draw a 1940's WWII-era Willys MB/Ford GPW Jeep. I wanted to create a 3D model to use as reference, and found that the Ford museum website has scans of the original mechanical drawings, so things got a little more detailed than intended.
