Happy anniversary to my gorgeous wife, Alison. Our first date was on the 6th of June 1992 and we got married 6th of June 1998. 33 years as a couple, 27 married. I'm a lucky man. (plus we got Dude out of it all too!)

I loved ghost stories when I was a kid (and still do), but look at the glorious covers on these paperback anthologies from Fontana. "Horror" is the 1982 edition, "Ghost" is from 1975.

Sad to hear that Clem Burke, the excellent and manic drummer for Blondie from the start, has passed away. What a great musician and showman he was and so pleased I got to see him play live (and shredding his drumsticks). www.facebook.com/Blondie/post...

It is with profound sadness that we relay news of the passing of our beloved friend and bandmate Clem Burke following a private battle with cancer. Clem was not just a drummer; he was the heartbeat.....

Today marks 3 years since we lost my dad. Sometimes, I feel every one of those days, sometimes it feels like it's only been 3 months. I miss him a lot (we all do) and even now, I'll see an ad for a book or TV show and think "Oh, I must tell Dad about that". Hug your loved ones.

In 1985 (40 years ago!), me, Rob Nichols, Mark Guyett, Sean Marshall & Steve Corton resurrected the Montsaye Student magazine while in the Sixth Form. We wrote, illustrated, sold ad space and designed the entire thing and it was a big success. We even got into the local paper... 🙂 #FlashbackFriday

I used to do this, when I first started getting published because I was amazed to be included and involved. But yes, after a while, it occurred to me that I hadn't tricked anyone, someone believed I should be there and so I should accept it. Maybe it's the English self-deprecation?

Here's a good answer to the "why do you hold onto books?" query. I bought this from a paperback spinner in Great Yarmouth in 1987 and it survived shelf culls and house moves before I read it in 2014. It's excellent and difficult to pick up now without spending silly money.

I was 5 in 1974 and me & the kids in our street were such massive fans of the Adam West "Batman" series, our mums made us masks and converted headscarves, towels and curtain into capes. Those were the days, eh? I'm front right, with my late sister Tracy next to me. #flashbackfriday #nostalgia
