Holy Trinity, Long Sutton The stained glass is by O'Connor. Jacob and Rebecca come from Julius Schnorr Von Carolsfeld. They used the same two figures at Milborne Port and at Trent, both not too far away.

Having tripped over the photographs of Gladys Goodall it's got me thinking about postcard photography (or travel brochure or tourist board). I was challenged in Blenheim Palace for standing around looking at a painting. 'If you want to do that kind of thing you need to ring us first.' It was this painting. Margaret Lemon as Erminia, by Anthony van Dyck.

Collage. I've used two photographs. One where a young boy, his back to us, seemingly looks towards someone of short stature walk away down the street. A second photograph, that originally included the person of short stature, has the boy staring at the camera, perhaps with some annoyance. I have cropped this photograph so it's just of the boy's face but, as it is also a screenshot, it includes features of the editing programme on my phone.

Ah! the curator gets the best view😊 But at Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales we can see their collection of St Thérèse of Lisieux and her Sister and zoom in (to a degree) museum.wales/collections/... Smelling the paper is still not available.

I'm going round the country trying to find William Butterfield and Alexander Gibbs stained glass windows. So here is an Alan Younger window, his rose window at St Albans Cathedral. 📷 Rex Harris

A round abstract stained glass window, mainly of circles within a circle separated by tracery. Each individual stained glass segment is a somewhat geometrically styled abstract, and, as is often the way with Younger, red and blue dominate, but yellows and greens are there too.

On Corpus Christi daie the diuell (as was thought) appeared in a towne of Essex called Danburie, entring into the church in likenesse of a greie frier, behauing himselfe verie outragiouslie, plaieng his parts like a diuell indéed, so that the parishioners were put in a maruellous great fright.
