It's become apparent to me that so many people belong to nothing and are constantly looking to belong to something but just cannot find what they're looking for.

I went to Regent's Park this morning to see the new Frieze sculpture exhibition and bumped into Matyáš Chochola, one of the artists. We had a nice chat and he agreed to pose for me next to one of his sculptures.

Rebel Wilson might say the song title is very appropriate for a project associated with Sacha Baron Cohen.

Last night I was at the Marylebone Theatre to see Tartuffe (Remixed), a very enjoyable reworking of Moliere's classic play.

A Bank Holiday Monday trip to @nationaltheatre.org.uk to see The Story. Interesting play, lots of twists and turns, well worth watching.

It was a bit far for me so I'm OK I missed it.

I was at Baker Street but there are trains on the Metropolitan line because of a fire at Neasden. So I walked to Marylebone Station and there are no trains from there either as there is a fire near Harrow on the Hill. So I'm stranded!

You are very kind to say that and also have good taste in music.

It's always nice to be thought of, especially regarding having something in common with the wonderful Olivia Dean. If only her talent and beauty, instead of her grandma, reminded people of me.

It was an important message but was it really an emergency? Surely they could have told the media beforehand they were going to do it so we could have been prepared instead of scaring us half to death!

010

Mark Arby @markarby.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Yes, I think we all know that already!

030

Mark Arby @markarby.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Yes, we all know the climate crisis is real and in the UK the ground it dry so the potential for fires is heightened but is it really an imminent threat? For a second I thought it was warning about an attack from Russia.

110

Mark Arby @markarby.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Well that #severealert on my phone and the accompanying buzzing sound literally made me jump. Was there an advanced warning or is it a genuine emergency?

Tried but failed to get a photo showing the solar #eclipse in London. It was spectacular to see though.

A sign I'm getting old. I have a drawer full of random cables that I don't use any more but refuse to throw away because I'm convinced one day I might need them.

I've not watched much of this year's Commonwealth Games and I don't know much about netball but that match was epic. Well done Jamaica.

Nothing that a casualty-free bus crash won't fix.

Maybe I'm not OK today because I missed that one.

Mark Arby @markarby.bsky.social · 31/05/2026

You're right, of course. I would have taken winning the Premier League over the Champion's League a month ago but it's the hope and expectation of coming so close to doing the double that makes this loss so difficult to take.

Just back from watching Sherlock Holmes at the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. A very cold night for May, started to rain midway through the second act and the play was a bit of a confusing mess. Disappointing evening all round.

I feel like I age 10 years every time I watch Arsenal play. Clear arm across Raya so it was the right decision to disallow the goal. Important win but please next time do it with a little less drama! #WHUARS
