Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 22/11/2024Desk whiteboard is the best £17 I’ve ever spent. Trick is somehow preventing family wiping story notes for urgent shopping lists or ‘don’t forget the flea treatment’ reminders. (For the dogs, not me…(!)) 020
Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 22/11/2024I’m afraid it’s an ‘it depends’ answer. If it’s me, in drafts, it’s untracked, at least until final stages when I might fill my desk whiteboard with scrawls! Different mode entirely if we’re in a production mode, but then (with luck) an AD and or script sup will appear… 110
Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 16/11/2024I really admire this point. I’d throw in the ring… The Straight Story (David Lynch) w/ Richard Farmsworth and Harry Dean Stanton. So simple and yet utterly compelling. 100
Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 11/11/2024Ever stalwart support from Hero, aka Thing Two, as I venture into the evening writing shift… #scriptsky #teamdog 040

Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 09/11/2024Closed out a draft feature script last night! The headlocks this (pick your own expletive) has had me in are unreal… Shout out to @fadein.bsky.social for being the best tuned, least bloated, makes you feel like you’re driving a Ferrari, software out there! #scriptsky 130
Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 08/11/2024There had to be some hiding somewhere; perhaps there always were, too. 010
Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 08/11/2024One tip would be to almost never use parentheses (or brackets if UK) under dialogue. Scripts tend to read by experienced readers, so trust them. The intention should be plain from the words you use. Use parentheses to counterpunch, to surprise or disambiguate… but sparingly. Good luck! 👍 010
Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 07/11/2024Much appreciated Brad! Having a look at your site now. 010
Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 07/11/2024Apparently the magic word here is #scriptsky bear with me folks, whilst I learn the ropes! 140
Mark A. Pritchard @markapritchard.bsky.social · 07/11/2024First post. Better introduce the writing partners. Vesper the Vizsla and Hero the Dane. Oxford cafe lurkers. Unlikely sisters. Squirrel tormentors. The source of much of my sanity as I wrangle words. Genre writer & director. First feature looming 🤞 glad to be here 👍 3161
