A month ago this beautiful lady came into our lives after my daughter rescued her from an auction, emaciated and thin and after weeks in quarantine and vet care she is now almost back to herself. Here is Aspen waking up this morning.

Weaver birds (family Ploceidae) are known for their intricate, woven nests, often made of grass and plant fibers, with some species building large, communal structures. Found in Africa and Asia, males build elaborate nests to attract females, who inspect and choose the best one.
