Near NOLA...
my first public political act was marching in destrehan Louisiana in 1977, where white people were rioting against schools irrigation, to call for the release of Gary Tyler look him up and eating a fundraising Hot plate outside his mama's house in St rose. white people, my people, who say of Maga and ice quote this is not America should say quote my America unquote, because they've been living in the safe bubble of their whiteness their entire lives while others are routinely gunned down in the street

a poem by Mark foles titled hooray for the red white and true. the subtitle on the occasion of struck through Hitler's attack on Poland and strike through Trump's attack on Caracas and kidnapping of another country's president and first lady
the blue pills kill the back pain spasms from yoga but I'm awake. the egg moves from muscles into the morning's news like a Cancer run amok. we're not sorry it spread to the mind and what we sometimes call the heart because then we needn't bother to disappear to you. we'd rather not spill your tainted Blood on the fatherlands pure soil. your ideas are the real cancer colon your miscegenation of friends your antiquated democratic ideals letting women out of the bed and kitchen to poison men's souls letting those people vote Sodom celebrated - a foreign substance introduced into the precious bodily fluids of our Anglo-Saxon nation. time to mow the lawn of insubordination like the israelis. get in line or get gone or get what's coming to you.

the lines in the poem decrease in length with the last line the short quote to you on court.

Me posing for this picture the sports editor wanted to run beside his column about the then also very sad New Orleans Saints.
photograph of a man and a flannel shirt at a typewriter wearing a bag on his head. The bag says 1-13 has a 😞 and the man holds a cigarette through the mouth hole cut in the bag. This was commentary on a very bad New Orleans Saints season decades ago

a poem by Mark folse. homily. do we need to shine black light to illuminate the blood look it's on your hands, if Cronkite Huntley and Brinkley return from the dead to broadcast genocide nightly as was done for the war on Vietnam would you just change to any of 100 banal channels? looking away made industrial death camps possible then and now. the crucified Palestinian looks down in such sadness when the parable of the Good Samaritan is red and then ignored, wondering what blackness is in the bloated Western soul no ultraviolet or Divine light could make plain to the comfortably complicit ignorant at brunch after church?

a search engine Brave internet browser in which it's embedded artificial "intelligence" system took the keyword news and offered a button for news from the political left and news from the political right.

I hate the use of the term generative about large language models. They do not generate anything. They assemble existing knowledge from stolen sources the way English assembles a language stolen from other sources. It's about as generative as a Hollywood remake.
