Had the opportunity to pop to Crossens Outer Marsh this lunchtime to enjoy the juvenile pallid harrier that was bombing back and forth between the sand plant and Old Hollow Farm. Whilst a group of curlew sandpiper ignored it. #LancsBirding

Couldn't believe it when Louise said she had just heard a nightjar churring in our garden at midday! A very enjoyable Sunday afternoon followed as we enjoyed watching this amazing creature with friends until dusk when he departed. #LancsBirding @louise-greenwood.bsky.social

Had a very enjoyable trip up to Maidens over the weekend and the western sandpiper showed very well before being flushed by four police officers, maybe Trump was frightened of hitting it with a wayward golf swing? @louise-greenwood.bsky.social
