i always find this line of logic insufferably self-soothing at best, if not just denial. we are not separate from the eurofascists of the recent past, we are a circle. of course they sound like nazis, the “founders” probably would too right about now, be honest.

hi #portfolioday it's been a while -- i'm an award winning illustrator and cartoonist, maker of comics and graphic novels like Brownstone with @samuelteer.bsky.social and along with my partner, sunmi, we organize a queer comics anthology called Datura Magazine 👯 🌎 marjulia.com 🌸 daturazine.carrd.co

Cover of Brownstone showing the main character, Almudena - a young half-white half-Guatemalan teenager - larger than life, leaning on the titular brownstone which her father lives in. On either side of the brownstone are other city buildings, showing glimpses of residents and the neighborhood which is explored in the book.

A poster showing several alligators on top of federal agents reading: CHINGA LA MIGRA at the top and NO ONE IS ILLEGAL ON STOLEN LAND at the bottom.

An illustration of a person taking refuge under a leafy canopy from rain.

Datura Magazine covers featuring work from (left to right): Rosemary Valero O'Connell, Molly Mendoza, and Seosamh Dáire.

tibby has developed a favorite toy, so naturally we bought her like a five pack of them… how do we ask mr caterpillar company to please subsidize our ballooning caterpillar budget

our tortoiseshell cat tibs aka tibby standing over the desiccated corpses of 5 of her favorite furry caterpillar toys.

dril candle meme but instead of candles i have written “caterpillars for my cat”. it reads: food $200 data $150 rent $800 caterpillars for my cat $3,600 utility $150. someone who is good at the economy please help me budget this. my family is dying. spend less on caterpillars for your cat. no.
