52 Frames, Week 33, Night

I haven't done star trails in over 10 years, so I had to relearn the nuances of Nikon interval shooting. We spent an afternoon driving around the local countryside looking for suitable locations. This cemetery is a favourite spot, and it even faced the right direction!

A lot of test shots, then finally hit start on 300 frames. Sadly we got bored and cold after a third of the way through. Still, 111 frames did get me this. I almost broke my computer stacking them in Photoshop but I'm more or less happy with it. Happy enough, because I didn't go back out another night to try again 😂

52 Frames, Week 32, Leading Lines
One day I'll learn. Places, especially places with water, may look the same as they always do, but they're different every time. Or the combination of what we bring to the space makes it different. Regardless, one day I will learn to trust it.

“ Week 31: Abstract. "The Space Between" ”
This past week I was camping in the "near north" of Ontario. Normally when I camp I choose radio free zones. This park was a new one to me, & I booked late, so didn't have much choice. I ended up in "gen pop", full, busy, bustling with kids, bikes, dogs, & generators. Not much peace to be had, or so I thought.

The thing about peace is, it's not actually hard to find, since we carry it inside us. It's quiet though (duh!) so it's easy to miss, between the noise outside & the noise within. Deep breath. quiet the mind, focus, repeat as needed. *click*

This was the campsite opposite mine, in the brief period between one "tenant" leaving & another arriving.

There was little done to this besides removing dust spots. (ICM reveals them even more than "normal" photography. Clean your sensors!)
