Picked these up last weekend. The Daredevil from 1952 cleaned and pressed very well. Was pretty sure I needed 1 or 2 of the digests but I just bought the lot. Turned out I had the two (list maintenance - not my strength apparently) but one of the others was over than what I had so I swapped it out.

Congrats to the USA Women’s team. That was a lot of hustle. Holy moly.

000

If you are in the actual arena watching the women’s Olympic hockey game and cheering the USA…why? Only acceptable reason is that you are American. If you are anything else…for the love of god, why? You don’t have to cheer Canada, but a little silent opposition would be nice all things considered.

Why on Earth is the US team getting cheered so loudly in an Italian arena? Did they fly in a bunch of Americans for this game?

These Survivors have to stop calling Jeff Probst “Uncle J”. It’s irrational, yes, but also irritates me every time I hear it.

Any Winnipeggers/Winnipeg adjacent folks in the house that are planning to be at Winnipeg Comic Con this year?

Went to @backissuescomicon.bsky.social (I mean, I gotta since it’s my show) and it was great. Lots of people, happy vendors, cool crowd, special guests that I am so appreciative of. I saw some people buying some sweet books. I was busy but managed to pick these up.

Cleaned this book up and gave it a press. It’s not drastic, but it does look much better now.

I would support purchases in any state that is actively resisting in an aggressive manner and reconsider travel to the US In those states only…for what it’s worth.

The 2025 edition of Montreal Comiccon started one week ago. I’ve had time to reflect on it. The trip was an adventure. Things were not entirely smooth, but I think we did something special there. The show broke an attendance record, attendees, exhibitors & guests all had very nice things to say.
