My final stop was Shanghai. It’s full with culture, food, temples, art galleries and endless shops. It's super clean and there is barely no pollution, all the cars are electric. It wasn't like this few years ago, the city has improved a lot. Shanghai is my new favourite city. I was so impressed 💥

After Chongqing, I spent two days in Xi’an. The temples and history there are fantastic but the Terracotta Warriors at the Emperor Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum were truly mind-blowing. 🤯🤩

Before Zhangjiajie, I went to Chengdu (Sichuan), which I loved too. Such a nice city, with historic buildings and modern architecture all mixed together. Very recommended! I also loved the Dan Dan Noodles and their love for pandas 🐼🌶️ Next stop: Chongqing! 🤖

Today I visited Zhangjiajie in Hunan, China! 🇨🇳 Maybe the most impressive natural park I’ve ever seen. 🤯 Also, I’m officially obsessed with jasmine tea lattes now. 🐉

I also spent couple of days visiting Nikko, a countryside town and national park just outside Tokyo. It’s full of temples and shrines and one of the most impressive places I’ve seen in Japan, especially now in the autumn. 🍂🍁

My favorite part of CrossFit is developing gymnastics and weightlifting skills because I love being able to do things I once thought were impossible. Today, I finally got my coordination and mobility right for my first set of 10 toes-to-bar reps! 🥳💪

This was last night at the Future of Coding meetup in London (lu.ma/foclondon) @todepond.com gave a very cool demo about how you can create music by coding with strudel.cc and mix it together with others in real time using nudel.cc 🤯 I don't think a live coding demo can get any cooler than this 💯🔝

The series shows the evolution and eventual erosion of their relationship over 10 years. It’s not a romantic show but a hyper-realistic portrayal of growing disconnection, existential voids, the passage of time, and recurring disappointments. Available in Spain on Movistar+

I highly recommend a series that I can’t stop thinking about lately: "Los años nuevos" (The New Years) It's about a couple who meets in Madrid on New Year’s Eve 2015. Each episode takes place on January 1st of the following year, leading up to TODAY—New Year’s 2025 🤯

📸 I've been using the BenQ ScreenBar Pro (pse.is/5wxhgb) because it includes webcam support and I’m using a Belkin mount to use my iPhone Pro as a webcam for meetings with Continuity Camera. Nothing beats the quality of the iPhone camera!📱

🚫 Desk lamps occupy too much space and produce reflections 🚫 Ceiling lights were excessive ✅ A light bar on top reduces the contrast between the screen and its surroundings, alleviating eye strain and creating an immersive experience. It gets me into "deep work" mode 👩‍💻

As a remote worker for a US-based company, my meetings are in the evening for European time zone. This is a challenge because there is little natural light, forcing me to rely on artificial options💡 This is how I easily fixed my problem and boosted my productivity and ergonomics 🚀

Let's not rule out the possibility that this flag is in reality a "Spanish" language selector for the 20 Spanish-speaking countries all together 😂 🏳️‍🌈💜

Marina Aísa @marinaaisa.com · 12/11/2024
For the 347835792 time: DON'T use flags to represent languages in a language selector 🤦‍♀️ It’s also a shame they have separate options for "Spanish" and "Spanish from Latin America (LATAM)" — imagine how bizarre it would be to see the Spanish flag mixed with the Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina 🥴
A language form with wild options: English had a mashup of the UK and US flags, Spanish had the Spanish flag, and the third option was a chaotic mix of the Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina flags.
