Meteor Smugglers 16 Final scene! I think this the only page with heavy technobabble. It was fun to play with Scylle's suit here: Using it to display an image, pulling it through her translucent jacket because it's made from the same weird matter-light as her, and finally spelling out "LCL".

Sleazy ads / propaganda were *super* fun to brainstorm. Just the challenge of using as few words as necessary to conjure a problem *and* its solution, to inspire guilt *and* salvation, while also trying to convey the character of the place.

AquaNox cameos! It's an old sci-fi submarine FPS with a playboy protag that sometimes inexplicably technobabbles. Probably the writer shoehorning it in, but in my mind it created an odd new archetype may or may not have influenced all this.

Wow, that's a great design, and a great ref sheet! I love how the character's personality comes through in every image, but you also took care to arrange the main poses so it shows off important details, like both the top and bottom of the hands, or the sole pattern of the shoes!

That's a good guess! The following page will (hopefully) show that this "smuggler's cove" is heavy on genetic engineering, so it's more about giving people the means to "shape themselves", but it's basically the same idea as your guess :D

Pelvic curtains are soo hot :D I really like how the eroticism provides such a casual contrast with the serene atmosphere. Similar to how your style as the colors & textures of a picture book, but the anatomy is immaculate and the lineart playful and confident. Really well-made piece!

I didn't know how to motion blur, so the psd file has clean lineart for everything, then an alternate version of "manga-style" drawn motion blurred lineart, and then digital smear on top 🤪 I think the actual impact portion section of the image worked fine, but I need a better approach for the rest.
