The book does have some heavier themes, it’s not quite as light and fluffy, just FYI

Aside from the Taylor parts (which RULED) … that was a pretty lame VMAs tbh. Last year was wayyyy better.

…. How are we at the end when we’ve given out less than 10 awards?

As soon as these guys walked on stage I remembered watching this music video. Very cool to see them do it live. I assumed it took a lot of tries to film it!!

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Because it’s airing on CBS which also shows Survivor

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Okay I guess that’s a noooo since they just gave out the award. But for why tho?? Did the other two nominees not attend? Bc she seems genuinely shocked at winning, but if she’s the only one attending why would she be surprised??

Are we getting performances from all three top 3 new artist nominees? Trying to decide if I should stay up to see CORTIS. Love those guys.

YT doesn’t count towards streaming records anymore, so a lot of artists have started releasing on Spotify and Amazon music to start and YT later.

Happy to have Adam Lambert back on the VMA stage, but I do wish it was for something of his own and not a tribute or cover.

Madonna is so tired, her poor knee hurts, she just wants to enjoy the rest of the night.

Proud of her for acknowledging that tbh!

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

So happy for Madonna really. I’m happy that she’s so happy making music still and doing her thing.

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Ooooh she’s was hiding back stage hanging out with the cast of Off Campus. I get it girl, I would do the same.

How are we at artist of the year already??

000

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I think the artist reaction cam got cut, either because they’re trying to get us up to speed after the delay or maybe people (like Taylor) finally complained enough that they agreed not to do it. I haven’t seen the camera cut to anyone yet!

The low low rise skirts and the bra-shirts are so 00s and it’s cracking me up and also making me feel OLD.

Kacey, this is so sweet! Dolly 🩷

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I was so confused by the Bruno bit because that was clearly not the VMAs stage!!

000

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Idk if there’s a livestream somewhere but it’s airing on CBS, Paramount+, and PlutoTV!

000

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Where is Bruno Mars even performing right now? That is not the VMAs stage.

120

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

It’s on CBS, Paramount+, and PlutoTV! MTV as a tv channel ended a few months back iirc.

Lisa is a member of BlackPink!! She’s very popular in Korea and extremely popular in Thailand, where she’s originally from. She does her solo stuff through her own production company, it’s very cool.

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Mine started with Madonna’s performance. Maybe your’s isn’t delayed?

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

THANK YOU RAVENS! Swifties everywhere thank you ending this game as quickly as possible so we can get to Taylor Time. ❤️‍🔥

The NFL is playing a game in Brazil and it’s airing on CBS, and the game has 7 seconds left in regulation time but it’s now tied. 🤦‍♀️ I think they want to start all the shows at the same time but this game just won’t end!

110

Mari @marigoldmorrigan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I wonder if they’re waiting for the football game on CBS to end? Theres 19 seconds left and it’s a close game, and they’re playing Brazilian, so I can see how they don’t want to upset the fans/sponsors by cutting over to the VMAs, but for those of us waiting for the VMAs it’s EXCRUCIATING!!
