Fresh out of the oven clafoutis in a white ceramic pie plate. The clafoutis is completely covered with redcurrants and blackberries, which were cooked down and are shiny.

Plastic undercarriage cover for some kind of vehicle on the side of the road, right on top of a sewer grate. It's obviously been run over a few times.

Bottom part of the trunk of a very large tree is still standing but it's surrounded by branches full of leaves and a no parking sign that is leaning a bit. It was probably hit by a tree branch.

This is the front of the house but it is completely hidden by the fallen tree. The branches make it look like a big hedge is blocking the view of the house.

Presumably it's the fire service that cut all the tree limbs up like this. No leaves on these branches. Just big cut up limbs next to another leaning no parking sign.

I saw this cute bunny on a run earlier in the week. Staying still so I couldn't see them.

I enjoy this apartment building which just said "you win" to pedestrian paths

Photo taken where two paved paths branch off one path. The path going on at 60° from the main path looks much older than the path branching off at 30°. It is obvious people were just walking between the two paths and management eventually gave up and paved this third path.

Rainbow! Actually a double rainbow but the second one doesn't show up very well

Almost a whole rainbow over a park. There are several full grown trees in the background, a gazebo in the front, and play structures between them. The sky is cloudy and the sun is just starting to set.

Sad looking bananas have been turned into carob chip banana bread. Nice start to the long weekend, hopefully. New bread pan, so hopefully it worked out ok. Looks good.

I bought myself some roller skates. I have not roller skated since I was a kid but I plan to take it up again. I could not resist these skates. Hopefully I can take some classes 😝

Right foot in a roller skate. The skate is bright yellow with blue, orange, and red rainbows. The laces are also rainbow coloured. The wheels are blue, the toe stop is yellow. The whole effect is pretty 70s. These are Moxi Rainbow Rides for anyone interested.

My sister sent me this picture of the Air New Zealand electric plane she saw at the Wellington airport (she was on the other plane in the photo)

I noticed another application for a tower across from Westgate yesterday. This one is for the low-rise mixed use building between the Best Western and the older apartment tower. That building suffered a fire a few years ago and isn't in great shape.

Finally bought the Canadian yellow mustard from Adonis. It tastes like mustard. Not really sure if yellow mustard varies much in flavour. Also got some Primo ketchup (not pictured here)

When I read this article about Canadians boycotting American www.cbc.ca/news/business/canada-us-… bourbon what surprised me was how little other countries are also boycotting it. Come on EU, you can do better at boycotting American stuff.

They finally opened up the sidewalk on Carling at Churchill.

A grey, drizzly day. This is an intersection on a fairly major road. There's a Shell gas station and then behind it a newly built residential building. There are construction signs on the road, the right lane is closed but the sidewalk is open.

This display of the yellow weather warning is pretty dumb, Google. I realise they only just implemented this colour coded alert scheme, but if Europe was already using it, surely it's not that hard to fix it.

Sidewalk plough driver thought there should be a sidewalk here. I concur.

On the snow covered grass between a road and a fence next to a park, a sidewalk snowplow has ploughed a path revealing leaves and grass. The path goes to a bus stop.

Somebody is throwing out a rather old looking "dry cleaning machine" which is not something I've ever seen before. I thought it was an old vacuum at first!

On grass near the road is a garbage can and next to the garbage can is a host dry cleaning machine (as labelled) it has a foot part that resembles a vacuum cleaner head and a handle and maybe tubes? The tubes and handle are partially wrapped in a plastic bag.
