My partner and I sing random things in that cadence / tone to each other all the time, and probably people overhear us on the street and get the original stuck back in their heads 😅

Always forgot those random specific bits of knowledge I’d gathered, tools are also great documentation 😅

I’d try making builds of my iOS project (now basically abandoned) every year or so and had issues w/ Mac updates / recreating the Xcode project, so I spent time automating the creation and customization of the Xcode project (Unity->obj-C->swift->obj-c->Unity calls are fun) + build, was worth it

Anyone who has had to revisit their own code years later knows how valuable this is! Wish I was less lazy or I’d have documented my own stuff only I’ll read much better 😅

Friendly reminder I’m still looking for work! I’d love to help make your game / backend service / w/e! Highly adaptable to diff languages / frameworks / engines, and I’d love the opportunity to do good work with you 🙇‍♀️

My letterboxd watch list only ever gets longer, watch a film, find at least one more to take its place, but often more. I may need to do some triage on it, and may have to create a proper list to put new recs on since I often forget why I wanted to watch something by the time I get around to it.

IMO it was worth watching half of the sopranos bc it unlocked many sopranos memes which are much better than the show itself

BATTLE SUIT ACES OUT NOW 🤖 @team.trinketstudios.com · 23/09/2026

Battle Suit Aces is the cheapest it's ever been in celebration of our next big update! The Carrion Riders have joined the roguelite deckbuilder mode, including Byron, Latimer, a handful of minion cards, and their scorned flagship: the Devastator. store.steampowered.com/app/2870530/...

Truly idk hahaha but excited about the exit polls here 🥳

Basically if you didn’t bring the Wahlbenachrichtigung you had to queue for the same line as people waiting to get their id checked after filling a ballot w/ no separation, found it quite confusing and awkward in such a tight space

100

Margaret Dax @margaretdax.com · 20/09/2026

I witnessed them do it ballot->voting booth->id check->drop ballot today in Neukölln, but pretty sure at the same lokal last election they did the other order 🤷‍♀️ only thing I can think is that was federal and this is state but idk, seemed less efficient

Ahh I dropped out of Vincenzo, but should finish at some point. I really loved Crash Course in Romance, My Liberation Notes, Stranger, and a few others but these stood out the most. Need to get back into it and also start working on my Korean study again, life has been too busy 😅

GBA rom is a safe bet, but depends on the emulators getting ported to any new architecture (past some point prob the people who can + care will dwindle and then…) I imagine C compilers have more longevity but who really knows what will happen. I’d hope WASM stays alive for a long time but prob not

I’m chronically online and never heard of her or the Event until… this. Haven’t found the connection between her and the rationalists (is she one?) and the AI people

i'm largely opposed to AI rather than viscerally angry about it but today some of my lovely non-computer friends anxiously asked about it ending the world and it filled me with rage. what right do you have to worry these nice people with your made up bullshit. how dare you. they don't even go here

If we held people personally and criminally liable for the "autonomous" actions of the AI systems they create and deploy, I bet the risky behavior would evaporate overnight.

100% while I hate cars and speeding an override of control could cause soooo many accidents not to mention opening a back door to someone being able to set all speed limits to 0 and cause mass crashes throughout the EU…

You’ve gotta use AI because it’s the future. But also it’ll take your job. But also it’ll create a paradise on earth and solve most of our problems. But also it’ll end humanity soon. But also you’ll get left behind if you don’t use it right now.

If and when they’re able to form a coalition govt at the state level, don’t get me wrong they’ll probably be able to do a lot of damage, but I just think we’re very far from the ruling coalition losing confidence. I do think Merz should step down but that’s more because I can’t stand his politics.

000

Margaret Dax @margaretdax.com · 09/09/2026

Even if you remove from that 4 votes you’re left with a more than 2/3 majority in the Bundesrat just from the current government coalition… I mean look maybe I’m missing something here but there is no way this one election is going to have a meaningful impact at the federal level…

100

Margaret Dax @margaretdax.com · 09/09/2026

2.7% of the population of Germany, 43% of which just voted for AfD, and they will have (if they can manage to form a coalition, honestly seems unclear how they’ll do it) max 4/69 votes (5%) in the Bundesrat, in a Bundesrat where currently CDU/CSU has 28 votes, and their coalition partner SPD has 25…

Like I genuinely can’t tell if this is a troll or if these people are actually that delulu Saxony-Anhalt is one of the less populous states in Germany (2.5m-ish iirc,) meaning their impact in the Bundestag is minimal (also the next Bundestag election is quiiiite far off a lot can change by then)

Screenshot of headline from Deutsche Welle English

Headline “AfD's Weidel says Merz coalition is
'over' after state vote”
Image of Alice Weidel captioned “© John Macdougall/AFP
The AfD co-leader blasted Germany's coalition government's policies

Followed by first paragraph

“Alice Weidel, co-leader of the far-right
Alternative for Germany (AfD), said Chancellor Friedrich Merz's governing coalition had been rejected by voters after the AfD's victory in Saxony-Anhalt.”
