This is also why I have zero worries about AI replacing me or my friends, because I am learning base skills, developing a portfolio of work, and even networking with fellow artists while AI bros sit around and lazily commission a big company to do their work for them I have skills, they do not

Art is extremely hard on the artist, they see every single flaw, every brush stroke, every slight error, everything, and each thing weighs on them more and more until it all comes crashing down I've had this too, and it sucks But the best thing to remember are the smiles your creations can bring

And I don't say that in a negative way, I mean that as in "I started at a negative level of skill and worked my way up through sheer determination" And that's my secret, I may have mood dips, I may be depressed a lot, but that isn't me, and I know this from years of soul searching and therapy

And I still fuck up! I still make mistakes on art that's "good", I still get bugs in my game code. And this should mean I'm not good enough, that I am a mistake, a failure... But it doesn't It doesn't mean any of that because I have no talent, and I never did

And I speak from experience, I've made fursuits, youtube videos, done voice acting, I'm making my own games, and I'm an artist. Never once did I start well, always did I fail again and again. But I expected that I expected to fail, and wasn't hard on myself for it, because I had nothing to lose

Everyone I know who's good at a skill started by failing, again and again, it's a part of the learning process and should be expected But what comes from those failures is experience, a process going from "I don't know what I'm doing" to "I sorta know what I'm doing"

my permaberry sona bebo, depicted three times in three stages of blueberry inflation. the first stage she is standing looking down at her belly, her belly has swollen wider, and her whole body has turned into a big curvy pear shape. the second stage she is spherical, a bit under twice as big as her normal self, her arms and legs still being barely separated from her body, but already significantly rounded out and in the process of sinking in. in the third stage she is entirely spherical, her paws and the tips of her shoes poke out slightly from her divots and her face is squished in its divot as well. there is faint text in the top left space of the image, which reads: "Unfortunately, Ms. Bebo will not be joining us for the rest of the tour.
