Tried to catch a meteor or two early this morning… Nothing spectacular by any means… BUT did manage to get 2x meteors and a satellite in one pic, and a baby meteor in another pic. And was so clear, the Milky Way was pretty speckie, so took that with my phone.

Just had the sprinkler on mainly for the birds to cool down & have a drink … managed to spot 2x honeyeaters!! Using the #BirdCount app I was able to identify them. 😊 Red wattlebird New Holland Honeyeater

Small bird, thin hooked beak, mainly grey colouring with distinctive yellow patches on its wing. Bright white circles around its eyes. Identified as the New Holland Honeyeater.
It is sitting in a tree full of wet green leaves.

Larger bird, brownish colouring, with distinctive red circles under its wing ”chin or cheek”- not sure birds have chins or cheeks, but it is lower than eyes and not really under the beak.
It is sitting in a tree with lots of wet green leaves.
Identified as the Red Wattlebird
