Unreasonable expectations of special, favorable treatment or automatic compliance from others.
• Lack of Empathy: An inability or unwillingness to recognize, understand, or connect with the feelings and needs of other people.

This is not ignorance, this is strategy:
gaslighting /gas lidiNG/
Gaslighting is a form of psychological and emotional manipulation where a perpetrator persistently denies, distorts, or alters facts to make the victim doubt their own memories, perceptions, or sanity. The ultimate goal is to gain power and control over the victim by eroding their self-confidence and making them emotionally dependent.

Merriam-Webster +4projection /pra'jekSHan/
Projection generally means the act of extending, throwing, or pushing something forward. Its meaning varies widely depending on the context: o
• Psychology: A defense mechanism where a person unconsciously attributes their own unacceptable thoughts, feelings, or traits onto someone else (e.g., someone feeling angry might accuse others of being hostile).

Something much darker, actually : #DARVO #hormuz #kharg #malignantnarcs 👇🏼
DARVO is an acronym for Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender, a common manipulation strategy used by abusers or wrongdoers when held accountable. Developed by Dr. Jennifer Freyd in the 1990s, it involves denying the abuse, attacking the victim for confronting them, and reversing roles to portray themselves as the victim.
Wikipedia +2The DARVO Process
Breakdown
• Deny: The offender denies that the abuse or harmful behavior occurred.
• Attack: When confronted, the offender attacks the victim (or anyone holding them accountable) for raising the issue.
• Reverse Victim and Offender: The offender acts as though they are the true victim, turning the real victim into the alleged wrongdoer. @ Wikipedia +3Synonyms and Related
Concepts
While DARVO is the specific term coined by Dr. Freyd, it closely relates to other manipulation tactics:
• Gaslighting (making someone question their reality).
• Blame shifting.
• Playing the victim.
• Deflection.
• Victim blaming. ® Keystone Law +4
Purpose
The goal of DARVO is to diminish the credibility of the victim, silence them, and make them feel responsible for the abuse, allowing the perpetrator to escape consequences. @ Keystone Law +1

Characteristics of narcissistic abuse
• Lack of empathy: The abuser exploits others without guilt because they cannot identify with others' feelings and view people as objects to meet their own needs. e
• Manipulative behavior: They use tactics like gaslighting to make the victim doubt their own reality and sanity.
• Controlling and aggressive: This abuse can be calculated and aggressive, and is often directed at family members and partners.
• "Invisible" nature: Abuse is often not physical and leaves no visible marks, making it difficult for outsiders to recognize.
• Disguised public persona: The abuser often appears charming and kind to others while being abusive in private, isolating the victim and making them feel like the problem. How to recognize narcissistic abuse
• Feeling confused and isolated: You may feel confused about what is happening and isolated from others.
• Doubting your own sanity: The abuser's use of gaslighting can cause you to question your own memory and sanity.
• Experiencing constant emotional volatility: You may notice a pattern of aggression and control, even without physical violence.
• Feeling like "it's all your fault": A common theme in these relationships is the victim feeling responsible for the abuser's actions.

Cognitive dissonance is the mental discomfort experienced when holding two or more contradictory beliefs, values, or attitudes, often triggered by acting against one's own beliefs.
Developed by Leon Festinger in the 1950s, this tension drives people to reduce inconsistency by changing behaviors, justifying actions, or ignoring conflicting information. @ Wikipedia +4Key Aspects of Cognitive
Dissonance:
• Causes: Occurs when new information conflicts with existing beliefs, or when forced to act against personal values.
• Signs/Symptoms: Includes feeling "off" or uneasy, experiencing guilt/shame, needing to constantly justify actions, and making decisions to avoid discomfort, according to Cleveland Clinic Health Essentials.
• Examples: Smoking despite knowing it causes cancer, ignoring news that contradicts political views, or engaging in wasteful behavior while valuing environmentalism.

Ever hear of projection?
What does it mean when someone is projecting?
へ
Projection is when we put our thoughts, feelings, and fears onto someone else, like a projector. It's what we sometimes do when we're triggered. or in insecurity and fear. For example, my ex cheated on me, and now I accuse my new partner of being unfaithful, so l'm projecting my fear of being cheated on. Oct 21, 2022

“These images are not just portraits. They are the ghosts of an empire, posing for its last official photo.” #read #history #books #Gatsby credit to @framedbyhistory on YouTube 👇
The finest jewelers, including Fabergé, created unique pieces for the ball. The cost of the costumes was astronomical. It was a display of wealth and power the world had rarely seen.
The best photographers were specially invited to capture the event. It is thanks to these photographs that we can now look into this vanished world. These images are not just portraits. They are the ghosts of an empire, posing for its last official photo.
But behind all this splendor, the shadows were already gathering. While the aristocracy danced in their boyar finery, discontent was growing outside the palace walls. The country was on the brink of a lost war with Japan, the bloody Revolution of 1905, and, ultimately, total annihilation.
This ball was not a celebration of the future. It was an attempt to hide in the past. The aristocracy, dressed in the costumes of their ancestors, seemed not to notice that their own world was standing on the edge of an abyss.
The Costume Ball of 1903 was not just a party. It was a requiem. The last, dazzling dance of the Russian Empire before it vanished forever.

Characteristics of narcissistic abuse
• Lack of empathy: The abuser exploits others without guilt because they cannot identify with others' feelings and view people as objects to meet their own needs.

• Doubting your own sanity: The abuser's use of gaslighting can cause you to question your own memory and sanity.

I was thinking malignant narc but after some reading …. I think sociopath is more accurate.
The main difference is motivation: narcissists seek admiration and validation to mask their insecurities, while sociopaths manipulate and harm others for pleasure or personal gain without caring about their public image.
Narcissists are motivated by ego and a need for attention, whereas sociopaths have a profound lack of empathy, a disregard for social rules and laws, and can be more calculating or impulsive.Feature

Narcissist built to destroy & self destruct.
Characteristics of narcissistic abuse
• Lack of empathy: The abuser exploits others without guilt because they cannot identify with others' feelings and view people as objects to meet their own needs.

It’s called ‘coercive control’ maga calls it DTS, better known as 👇🏼
Coercive control is an act or a pattern of acts of assault, threats, humiliation and
intimidation or other abuse that is used to harm, punish, or frighten their victim. Coercive and controlling behaviour is at the heart of domestic abuse.
