Marc Dionne @marcsdionne.bsky.social · 2hI can't speak for anyone else, but I know that there are times when I do this. It's because I only know about one of the papers. This is a product, partly, of not interacting with physical journals any more. It obviously can amplify itself, like some chiral catalysts. 110

Reposted by Marc DionneShiv Ramdas Mens Rice Activist @nameshiv.bsky.social · 30/09/2026 I'm kinda fully over that "the British conquered the world for spices and don't use any of them" joke because for one, you cannot recycle material for 5 straight generations and get a laugh worth a damn but also because in order to make it you have to agree with Tommy Robinson about who is British 512059225

Marc Dionne @marcsdionne.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Dude, there's tuberculosis *everywhere*. There's not a lot of it in Basel, though. 210

Marc Dionne @marcsdionne.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Honestly, knowing what I do about subjective effects of CB1R agonists, I would be really hard to convince that antagonists would have a useful therapeutic profile. 020
Marc Dionne @marcsdionne.bsky.social · 14/09/2026CB1 antagonists were "previously associated with severe psychological side effects". Those side effects, for those of you playing at home, included anxiety and suicidal ideation. 110

Marc Dionne @marcsdionne.bsky.social · 08/09/2026The last time I needed to get to Heathrow at an hour when the tube wasn't running, Uber flat refused my business. Ended up hailing a black cab, which was expensive, but at least it worked. 001

Marc Dionne @marcsdionne.bsky.social · 01/09/2026How funny! In our hands, c564/+ is about the most immune-competent "wild-type" stock we ever use. Never known why—I have a vague feeling it may to do with subcritical stress in fat body enhancing immune responsiveness. (Controls always!) It certainly works well as a FB rescue driver for us. 010
Marc Dionne @marcsdionne.bsky.social · 01/09/2026We haven't seen any (we get melanotic tumors in c564, more than anything). For us, Lpp is strong and well-behaved, with the important caveat that Lpp-Gal4 expression shuts down for several hours after infection, which is why we use c564 a lot anyway. 120

Marc Dionne @marcsdionne.bsky.social · 03/07/2026Sure, if greenland sharks regard their sprogs as precious widdle cutiepies, but if they put the little bastards to work in the squid mines while adults float around waiting for a dead polar bear to float by, birth rates should be going up.
