Sometimes street photography isn't about chasing the moment. Find the light. Find the composition. Then wait. Eventually, the street gives you the missing piece. The Art of Noticing. #streetphotography #photography

Camera question: Forget megapixels. Forget autofocus. Forget dynamic range. What's ONE thing your current camera does that makes you actually want to use it?

Let's build a photography exhibition on Blue sky. Reply with ONE photograph. No explanation. No gear details. Just the image. Here is mine 👇 #photography #streetphotography #beach

Street photographers: what do you notice first? Light, people, colour, geometry, gestures or something else? I tend to notice people and colour #streetphotography

I want to see your city through your eyes. Reply with one photograph that feels like where you live. Not the famous landmark. The real place. #photography #streetphotography

I think cameras like the Lumix S9 are changing my relationship with editing. I'm increasingly trying to get the photograph looking how I want before I press the shutter. Anyone else editing less? #photographers

Maybe finding your audience as a photographer isn’t about going viral. Maybe it’s slowly finding 100, then 1,000, then 10,000 people who notice the same things you do. That sounds much more interesting to me.

I’m going to keep sharing my photography until it finds the people it’s meant for. Not photographers. Not algorithms. Just people who enjoy noticing ordinary moments that would otherwise disappear. #streetphotography #photography

You can only photograph with ONE focal length for the next year. What are you choosing? I have been using the 40mm since I picked up the Lumix S9 I'm curious how many people say 35mm.

I’m starting to care less about whether a photograph is technically perfect. If it makes me remember how that moment felt, it has already done something important. 🌍World Photography Day

Maybe the goal isn’t to become better at photography. Maybe it’s to become better at noticing. The photographs are just evidence that you were paying attention

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

You don't need to go far. You just need to pay attention. I've photographed London countless times, but I'm slowly realising that familiarity isn't the problem. Sometimes it's the reason we stop looking. #streetphotography #lumix #london

A football club is a strange little ecosystem. Players, volunteers, supporters, families, staff, rituals, food, noise, waiting. The match is the obvious photograph. Everything around it might be the story. #streetphotography #football

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

London is probably photographed more than almost anywhere on earth. Which makes photographing the landmarks easy. Photographing what London feels like is much harder.

040

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Street photography has taught me that patience usually beats expensive gear. Most people walk faster. Photographers learn to slow down.

081

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

Every photographer remembers the shots they missed. Very few remember the thousands they successfully captured.

060

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 07/08/2026

You don't need to travel halfway around the world. Some of the best photographs are probably ten minutes from your front door.

150

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 06/08/2026

The more I photograph London, the less I'm interested in landmarks. The real stories are happening on the pavement.

030

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

I shoot with the Lumix S9 because it disappears into the background. People act naturally. Moments stay genuine. That's more valuable than any specification sheet. What is your camera ?

020

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

One camera. One lens. Comfortable shoes. That's usually all I need for a good afternoon.

070

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Sometimes I'll walk for an hour without pressing the shutter. Then take five photographs in thirty seconds. Photography has no schedule.

080

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Street photography isn't about strangers. It's about human moments.

061

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

The hardest part of photography isn't pressing the shutter. It's deciding where to stand.

011

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Every photographer has walked past their best photo. The difference is whether they turn around.

160

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

I think the best street photographers aren't faster. They're simply better at noticing.

132

Marco Vinagre @marcovinagre.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

I nearly kept walking. Then someone stepped into the frame. That one second changed everything.
