My new app is now released! Unforgetful: marco.org/2026/08/14/unforgetful Imagine if Reminders was optimized for ADHD, procrastination, and forgetfulness. Never lose a task. You'll always be reminded, with zero shame or judgment. That's Unforgetful.

These aren’t governments or public places. Nobody has the right to be here. You don’t need to be fair, objective, or accommodating to hate speech and assholes. If they’re abusing, threatening, or driving away others, don’t defend their rights or argue with them about policies — just kick them out.

My kid informed me that I have insufficient “drip”, which is apparently not referring to nasal (or worse) discharge, but is rather an insult toward my podcast shirts

Oh that makes much more sense than what I thought you meant (a machine that vended dogs), which would be adorable but horrible

Yes. We like the white, and often add a few extra toppings like tomatoes or Parmesan.

It’s like working for Trump. How often has that gone well for anyone?

FWIW, on the undo front, Tweetbot and now Ivory have a great feature where if you tap the status bar to scroll to the top, and want to undo it, you can just tap it again. That’s a good start, and very easy to implement.

My favorite is the “Developer tools” section in the settings screen

I kinda love how basic, unfinished, and developer-y this app is.

Gotta hand it to the marketers who gave humans permission to use dog beds ourselves by making them fancy and rebranding them as “floor pillows”

I keep wanting to pronounce it “BLUE-skee” (this is not valuable content)

It depends where everyone else in our community goes, really. And I think Mastodon is more likely to be that place at the end of the day, but who knows?

Bluesky has a Mac app… sort of! M1/M2 Macs can run the iPhone app in this cute little unresizable window. (Get it from the Mac App Store before they opt out.)
