On 12 April 2025, a Ukrainian Air Force F-16AM fighter was lost during a combat mission. The pilot, officer Pavlo Ivanov, did not survive. He was retrained from the Su-25 to fly the F-16.

During the flight, the canopy of a Russian Air Force Su-34 shattered, reportedly at an altitude of around 10,000 m. The crew managed to land the damage plane at the air base. Both crew members suffered "serious injuries" from the flying glass shards.

A Russian Air Force Su-34 was damaged (possibly beyond repair) during an emergency landing caused by the landing gear failure. The video was first published on 22 March 2025. Note the navigator's canopy was jettisoned to allow quick evacuation, the exhaust nozzle broke off and engine caught fire.
