Maybe I'm rambling at this point (I really said 'a little context' huh?) All I'm trying to get at - even if it's just a small thing, even if it goes nowhere, I'm glad I got to revisit this song that helped start it all for me. Otsukarejak~

I ended up connecting with multiple great communities. Started writing again after *years* stuck in a slump. Studied a language so maybe one day I could write or translate songs for *real*. Which is to say, without this song and without that cover and without Reza I wouldn't be here.

Yet I forged on, published it for the world to see, because of how much the song and the streamer behind it meant to me. His music, his lore, his writing - all of it was a massive inspiration for why I started as a youtaite to begin with.

Nic Marchand || KACBY2-R2 @marchofthebards.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

The first time I covered this piece was also the first time I attempted any sort of musical arrangement on my own (with a software I didn't know) or any sort of translyrics (from Bahasa Indonesia, a language I didn't speak) It was, as you might expect, kinda pretty terrible.

Did I, perhaps, vanish into nothingness for a bit there? PERHAPS. But I promise that I've been working on plenty in the interim, and I hope to start getting to show off to everyone soon!

Nic Marchand || KACBY2-R2 @marchofthebards.bsky.social · 13/11/2024

Please don't take this as anything serious it's unmixed one take and decidedly not sober - just wanted to showcase a rare example of just cutting loose with vocals rather than obsessively redoing lines over and over

Nic Marchand || KACBY2-R2 @marchofthebards.bsky.social · 12/11/2024

Each member on vox gets a new number each round so you gotta change who your vocalists are to try to get to 21 and force *gasp* interaction

Perspective of You🗡️ Happy (late) birthday to Slay the Princess and Pristine Cut release! This game is absolutely so wonderful to me, so I wanted to make a piece that really reflected my feelings on it… #art #slaytheprincess

An illustration of two people, a large person with bird-like features, feathers, and countless wings, and a princess with long hair and a gown. Together, they are holding a pristine blade, and in the other hand of the bird-person, he is touching the face of the princess delicately. Behind the princess are 19 broken glass shards, each reflecting another perspective of her, with a range of smiles to frowns, and humans to beasts to nightmares.
