Oh yeah you did mention that, didn't mean to say you didn't! It was linked to here, but might message me first since I think your DMs happened to be locked. Sorry for bringing this up here!

Yeah, absolutely! I had no means to contact you for the progress, but if you wanted a non-compressed version or had any feedback, lmk where you wanted me send it (or revisions) and I will ^^

Naw same here, it ain't the best time for me to be recently graduated with an art degree... Shit sucks and things look grim, but people are pushing back and taking what initiative they can so not all hope is lost at least.

Ko-fi commission update: there seems to be a bug or server issue on Ko-fi that's causing me to not access reference images on comm inquiries. Because of this, there's one client whose commission I haven't been able to work on and who I have no further contact with. Whoever this is, I apologize!

EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE IN THESE STATES, CHECK AGAIN NOW TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ACTIVE, especially if you are NOT WHITE. In states like mine (Georgia), some voter statuses MYSTERIOUSLY got deactivated by Kemp.

Thanks a ton for the help, peeps! So the bottom line I'm gathering is that your distro of choice is all dependent on what your hardware is and what you want to do. Also, Linux users are insanely passionate and quick and eager to help out a fellow newbie, and that's so awesome.

MarchHareDraws @marchharedraws.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I still use printer paper for drawing to this day... not the finest and most absorbent, but the stuff ain't bad for graphite drawing if I'm just gonna scan it to color anyways

To any Linux-heads here: what distros are you using, and any starter tips? I've only ever used Cinnamon Mint as an experiment on an old hand-me-down computer, but I've been thinking about a game plan to move to Linux on my main driver since I'm so sick of Windows getting worse by the update.

Self-care is important, and we are in a time when it is *extra* important. When prospects are slim for creatives, it can be a real tightrope act to balance rewards & self-care with paying the damn bills. And we creatives are very good at running ourselves ragged chasing that gold star.

A mystical fox partaking in little self-care in the middle of nature A sketch commission for @malboro-urchin.bsky.social, thank you so much for the support! Another one of them forest scenes that I tend to render a little further than they requested... #marchhareart #commission #furryart

An anthropomorphic male blue fox named Wanderer, in the middle of a forest on an autumn day amidst coloring trees to signify the season.

Wanderer is sitting down in the grass, brushing his left paw to groom his fur and clean any residual leaves, twigs, or pebbles from walking in nature. He is content and happy.

Wanderer is a light blue fox with deep blue, black, and white fur patches all around his body, and most notably a bright warm yellow star-like pattern in the middle of his chest and stomach area.

MarchHareDraws @marchharedraws.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

And just as a disclosure, I did raise the prices back up from their discounted prices, since I've been considering making non-Kofi invoiced options for sketch commissions at that cheaper price. Will have a sheet for that set up in the near future. Thank you so much everyone for the support!!

120

MarchHareDraws @marchharedraws.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

Just for context, most of this is aimed to go towards next month's student debt payment, medical bills, and any subsequent medical visits since I most likely need to see a dermatologist and psychiatrist in the near future. Should probably update the Ko-fi goal to cover this.

151

MarchHareDraws @marchharedraws.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

I should mention I raised prices from the discounted $10/20 to the original $15/25 price, and keep the former price for any future sketch commissions not relying on Kofi. I'll get something set up for that here soon

001

MarchHareDraws @marchharedraws.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Some examples of recent sketches I've done:

A red sketch of a male anthropomorphic wolf-like character holding a cup of coffee.

A red sketch of a strongly built male anthropomorphic otter character crossing his arms and smiling.

A colored sketch of an anthropomorphic rabbit character raising their fist in happiness.

A colored sketch of an anthropomorphic character raising their finger, as if arguing or angrily lecturing someone offscreen.

Another of my August commissions, finished just before I go visit family for a few days. @mudkipper.art answered my call to illustrate some proper autumn art! Elly and Oliver kick off the season going trout fishing along a peaceful mountain park... 🍂🎣🏔️ #marchhareart #commission #furryart

$An illustration, featuring two anthropomorphic characters fishing in the daytime, canoeing along the river of a mountain valley, which resembles the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, USA. One character, an anthropomorphic yellow male fox named Elly, catches a large, colorful rainbow trout, which splashes out of the water. The trout leaves a rainbow trail behind it as if it refracts from the water. Another character, a comparatively bigger anthropomorphic male aquamarine axolotl named Oliver, is seated behind, watching in amazement while rowing the red canoe.$

One of a handful of completed commissions from August, featuring @reelboringfox.bsky.social's Chris the fox. Cute little gremlin, isn't he? #marchhareart #commission #furryart

An anthropomorphic orange male fox, named Chris, drawn in a variety of poses.

From top, clockwise: reclining on the ground with one arm perched on an invisible object; strutting and confidently pointing and smiling towards on off-screen individual; hunched over, defensively holding up fists as if to incite a fight; and crouched forwards with arms draped in front of him, hands forming fists, irritatedly looking towards something or someone off-screen.
