Justice of Kings x Arcane (S1) x Blacktongue thief ❓"What's my name?" ✔️To answer the mystical blue shard is to embrace the forbidden power awakening within and risk everything. 📖Runeweaver: Shadow of the Twin Sun War #WIPPIT #A #F #Agentsguide

Runeweaver: Shadow of the Twin Sun War
an adult dark epic fantasy by M.C.C. FransPitch
In a remote mountain village steeped in theocratic fear, twelve-year-old Roya ventures into the mist to rescue a strange, winged creature from a trapper’s cage.
The rescue ends in disaster.
Dragged home and sentenced to servitude under the cruel shrinekeeper, she watches her mother’s beloved books burn on a pyre.
But Roya took something from the cage.
A shard. Blue, glowing.
Whispering a question only she can hear:
What is my name?
When Mogh Aedam arrives with black-cloaked knights, Roya realizes they’re hunting it.
As the Order’s grip tightens, she must choose: deny the truth and survive—or embrace the forbidden power awakening inside her, and risk everything.
Comparable titles to Runeweaver
Justice of Kings
The Gutter Prayer
A Master of Djinn
An image of Powder and Jinx (Arcane season 1)
these are similar because of: Theocratic conspiracy, sacrifice, grim coming-of-age, cult, Divine mysteries, moral ambiguity and fractured identity. An image with two samples of writing. First part of the prologue: “Sacrifice, Brother.” Aedam exhaled wearily. “It is a question that presents itself to all warlords. Did I give it my all? The Herald teaches us that the cost of victory is sacrifice. And we have sacrificed. All of us. But now that we’ve achieved victory so utterly and completely, one wonders, who can stop us now?” The Mogh ran a finger over the precious ruby-red stone embedded in the ring. “And indeed, who can?”

12 Years after teh fall of the Dusk Throne.

... She landed heavily in the undergrowth, leaves and mud caking her cheek. The taste of loamy earth was in her mouth, musty and tangy. The village, she thought, catching sight of the faint twinkle of its distant lights. I have to warn them.
With a grunt and whimper of pain, Roya pushed herself up onto thin arms. Her elbows shook, and saliva mixed with blood as it dripped from her lip. She could taste that too. She had cut herself somehow. Her hands were scratched as well, her knuckles bruised.
     I have to keep going.
