Auch relevante Einschränkung:
Context files are redundant documentation
We show in Section 4.2 that context files do not provide an effective repository overview. Our hypothesis is that LLM-generated context files are mostly redundant with existing documentation, while developer-provided context files add additional information. We confirm this hypothesis by manually removing all documentation (files ending with .md, example code, and the contents of the docs/) after generating the context file and before evaluating the coding agents, excluding Claude Code for cost reasons, and show the results in Figure 12. In this setting, where context files are the only source of documentation available, we find that LLM-generated context files not only consistently improve performance by
2.7
% on average, but also outperform developer-written ones across settings. This may also explain anecdotal evidence reporting that coding agents perform better after adding context files [31], since many less popular repositories contain little to no documentation.

This conversation slightly broke my brain www.dwarkesh.com/p/dylan-patel-3 Lots of interesting things, but what stood out was the speculation on a global crowding-out effect on debt thanks to AI needing capex and being a money-printing machine. It […] [Original post on mastodon.social]
Dwarkesh Patel

Suppose the interest rates rise 1%. Over a five-year basis, the fraction of tax revenue that goes towards servicing the debt goes from 20% to 25%. If it rises 5 percentage points, that would go north of 40%. But if you take into account the fact that the government is borrowing $2 trillion every single year, then that goes from 40% to north of 60%. So 60% of tax revenue just goes towards paying interest payments on the debt.

Now, I think the US is going to be fine because the tax base will increase if we let data centers get built in America. Other countries are absolutely fucked, in my opinion. I was just looking at which countries have a lot of debt, have very little tax revenue, and also a lot of their debt is serviced quite often. Those countries, like Pakistan or Nigeria, I think are just going to be very fucked in this new interest-rate regime.

Dylan Patel

This crowding-out effect is the reason it’s not YOLO 1 billion gigawatts. You’ve got all these industries and countries that use a lot of debt, all these impoverished countries that you mentioned earlier that are just going to default. You’ve got consumer packaged goods, all of these companies that make things you see at Trader Joe’s or wherever. They use a lot of debt. All these telecom companies use a lot of debt. Banks use a lot of debt.

"This Rust rewrite would've taken a team of engineers with full-context on the codebase a year of work. With 1 engineer using Fable & closely monitoring Claude Code, we went from start to 100% of the test suite passing on all platforms in 11 days." Not too bad. bun.com/blog/bun-in-rust
Pre-merge, this took 5.9 billion uncached input tokens, 690 million output tokens, and 72 billion cached input token reads — around $165,000 at API pricing. By hand, I think this would've taken 3 engineers with full context on the codebase about a year, during which time we wouldn't be able to improve Node.js compatibility, fix bugs, fix security issues or implement new features. We never would've done that. The realistic alternative was to do nothing and keep fixing the bugs at the top of this post forever.

See, it's rather naive to think that the actual solution to one of the most popular open math questions has any scientific meaning
OpenAI uploaded a research paper describing its AI model’s mathematical proof along with commentary from independent mathematicians. But the company did not disclose information about prompts, AI training data, and the amount of computational resources used to solve the mathematics problems in question, said Rodrigo Ochigame, a historian and anthropologist of computing and artificial intelligence at Leiden University and another author of the declaration.

“The AI model is proprietary and unavailable to anyone outside the company,” Ochigame told The New York Times. “We get a flashy promotional video, while basic information needed to assess the scientific meaning of the result is kept secret.”

Falls immer noch jemand denkt, KI könne keine Texte zusammenfassen und verstehen arxiv.org/html/2605.20668v1
With the advancement of AI capabilities, AI reviewers are beginning to be deployed in scientific peer review, yet their capability and credibility remain in question: many scientists simply view them as probabilistic systems without the expertise to evaluate research, while other researchers are more optimistic about their readiness without concrete evidence. Understanding what AI reviewers do well, where they fall short, and what challenges remain is essential. However, existing evaluations of AI reviewers have focused on whether their verdicts match human verdicts (e.g., score alignment, acceptance prediction), which is insufficient to characterize their capabilities and limits. In this paper, we close this gap through a large-scale expert annotation study, in which 45 domain scientists in Physical, Biological, and Health Sciences spent 469 hours rating 2,960 individual criticisms (each targeting one specific aspect of a paper) from human-written and AI-generated reviews of 82 Nature-family papers on correctness, significance, and sufficiency of evidence. On a composite of all three dimensions, a reviewing agent powered by GPT-5.2 scores above each paper’s top-rated human reviewer (60.0% vs. 48.2%,
p

), while all three AI reviewers (including Gemini 3.0 Pro and Claude Opus 4.5) exceed the lowest-rated human across every dimension. AI reviewers’ accurate criticisms are also more often rated significant and well-evidenced, and surface a distinct 26% of issues no huma

Was Europa dagegenhält

Post 1: The people most allergic to AI on the left are often the ones most invested in the idea that knowledge work is inherently dignified and shouldn't be automated, which is a craft guild position, not a Marxist one.
Post 2: Marx was pretty clear that clinging to existing forms of labor as sacred was reactionary. The point was never to preserve jobs; it was to seize the means by which jobs become unnecessary.
Post 3: The nominally Marxist critique of AI is actually a Luddite-romantic one wearing Marxist language, and the actual Marxist analysis
Post 4: that this is a massive expansion of productive capacity that could be liberatory if the ownership question is resolved gets ignored because it doesn't pattern-match to "technology bad."

Nestlé caused millions of infants to die. The best estimate puts the number around 10 million.

Nestlé aggressively marketed baby formula to women in poor countries. This has a number of negative effects:

Formula has to be mixed with water. But in poor countries, water is often unsanitary, causing disease in infants with developing immune systems. Instructions were often printed in languages that mothers couldn’t read. Using contaminated water in formula was associated with a 27% rise in mortality.

Often poor mothers would use less formula for the baby than was needed, in order to conserve it. This led to infant malnutrition.

Breast milk is protective against a number of infectious diseases that can infect infants. Where infectious diseases are common, replacement with formula is harmful.

When formula replaced early breastfeeding, women’s breastmilk would dry up. This led to them having to buy more formula, which they often couldn’t afford. Sometimes Nestlé would send women free formula, building dependency.

Nestlé’s actions were nefarious beyond belief. One of their adverts read, “Don’t wait too long to wean your baby. If you do the little one is likely to be weak and anaemic.” They dressed over 5,000 sales representatives in nurse uniforms and sent them to hospitals to market their product to new mothers, who believed they were nurses. This would be like if Big Tobacco dressed people up as doctors to offer them free cigarettes.

Das ist 50:50 "alles ist heute KI" und "direkt mit den eigenen Hauptlieferanten konkurrieren ist immer schwierig". With a little spark of "Elon being Elon" on top. SpaceX will Cursor für 60 Milliarden $ übernehmen: www.ft.com/content/d23bd03a-92ac-4e…
Cursor will make use of SpaceX’s massive computing resources to continue developing its own coding model Composer, launched late last year.

Oskar Schulz, Anysphere’s president, said: “We think SpaceX is basically the best company in the world when it comes to building out compute. The feats they have been able to pull off are extraordinary.”

Musk has been behind some of the most ambitious infrastructure projects of recent years, including the supercomputer Colossus in Memphis, which was developed in 122 days.

He has staked SpaceX’s future on developing data centres in space, arguing that satellites fed by solar energy and naturally kept cool in orbit will be the cheapest way to power AI.

Like it or hate it, but this is true.
NON-PROFESSIONAL & ENGAGEMENT BAIT: Anyone "classically trained" to write code pre-LLMs will take on look at the leaked Claude Code repo and see that it's a pile of unmaintainable slop. However, it is becoming increasingly clear that this doesn't actually matter. Coding is no longer a craft. No one cares how the code looks. All that matters is the utility of the program, with special exceptions made for mission critical considerations like security. Languages like TypeScript are just assembly at this point.

Donald Trump does not think strategically. Nor does he think historically, geographically, or even rationally. He does not connect actions he takes on one day to events that occur weeks later. He does not think about how his behavior in one place will change the behavior of other people in other places.

He does not consider the wider implications of his decisions. He does not take responsibility when these decisions go wrong. Instead, he acts on whim and impulse, and when he changes his mind—when he feels new whims and new impulses—he simply lies about whatever he said or did before.

For the past 14 months, few foreign leaders have been able to acknowledge that someone without any strategy can actually be president of the United States. Surely, the foreign-policy analysts murmured, Trump thinks beyond the current moment. Surely, foreign statesmen whispered, he adheres to some ideology, some pattern, some plan. Words were thrown around—isolationism, imperialism—in an attempt to place Trump’s actions into a historical context. Solemn articles were written about the supposed significance of Greenland, for example, as if Trump’s interest in the Arctic island were not entirely derived from the fact that it looks very large on a Mercator projection.
