I know how they were killed, but I still can’t really comprehend that it happened. Such a sad and needless loss of lives.

Those are great pics!! Caraway looks like my ginger girl. She is the one I have to come with her when she goes down for her afternoon nappy on our bed.

My girl cat needs me to put her down for her afternoon nap every day. She comes and gets me, and leads me to our bed. If I leave too soon, she comes and gets me again to start over. If I stay too long cuddled up with her, I fall asleep!

Do you know what city he was in when he said this?

110

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Or they are delivering so many bikes they thought they were one.

Have no fear. Other locations have tried permanent daylight saving time and realized it was not good and changed. I think we will do the same. Some people can't learn from others, they need to make their own mistakes to learn. It means we progress slower, but we still progress eventually.

I don’t want to see anyone injured. But I find it disappointing that people are so up in arms about e bikes, and yet seem to just accept so much injury and death from vehicles. The car lobby has brain washed people.

The fact that you had to drive could be cause enough to ruin a day!

Our grocery stores still have these.

010

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Oh my!!! I definitely want one of these for my house!

010

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

I am with you. It is either that or I move to Saskatchewan.

001

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Sending you some virtual hugs!

The “him” is the person the people of the USA voted as their head of state

000

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I was replying to Trevor’s post/ comment. As shown by the words in quotes.

Spare human better be careful….just saying

000

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I feel like making the comment that the “people in the US” who voted him in, are not comprehending a lot of things.

Why do Winnipeg hospitals put bike parking adjacent to the smoking section? St Boniface . Seven Oaks. Do they want me to get cancer so they have more patients? @wpgbikeracks.bsky.social

No iced coffee for me today! Needed the hot coffee.

Or , I kept calling and could not find my third cat this morning. Until I saw her, OUTSIDE! She busted the screen and broke out. Thank goodness she did not run away. And that the other two did not follow her.

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Well HIS cat anyway! Mine are lucky if I remember to keep at least one of their water bowls mostly full.

120

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

You will definitely have to get a battery backup for the cat water fountain. Your cat must keep hydrated, even when the power goes out.

Our Timmie loves the elastic on face masks. Guess who has the wonderful job of going through poop to make sure everything made it out.

020

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I talk to my cats all the time.

If someone accidentally kept dropping piles of compost on the roads around schools.., would that slow them down? I don’t want to waste precious compost, but if it can save a life, well worth it!

He was voted in through a Democratic process. I would question the numbers who voted for him.

000

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

I have long wondered what it means when they do this.

130

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

What brought about the rise in numbers in approx 2008 and 2011 as well as the other two peaks. When it had been considered eradicated prior to that as numbers were so low.

I wear plastic sunglasses I get for free from event tables over my prescription glasses when I bike or drive a car. My cousin taught me this trick 40 years ago. When I arrive at my destination I just pull off the plastic sunglasses and I can still see bc I still have my glasses on! No switching.

Would it help to hold bike lane support rallies in other cities, provinces?

100

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Yes. But mine never produces as much as yours! I have enjoyed beans and zucchini and raspberries . But tomatoes still small and green. Not many cucs. Good apple harvest. One variety all picked, others not ready yet.

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Your garden produces so much! Congratulations!

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

We appreciate all that you do for these cats and we know that you are making the best decision for all. Take care of yourself!

Walking would be a good start for him.

000

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Running is the way to network. I have seen numerous pics of him running with other heads of state. At work I used to run with our director at lunch.

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

It is regressive, when we need progressive policies. And it strikes fear for those of us in other provinces that it could happen to us. We worked so hard to get the few protected bike lanes we have.

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

My mom used to have a cap type hair dryer that you put on your head like a shower cap. If you attached that to a small box, you would have a free dryer box.

020

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Well that explains a lot for me!

020

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

A great video showing it in action!

010

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

Those are fantastic photos! Such a cutie pie!

I am no longer going to complain when my gal pushes a bit of food out the opposite side of her bowl as she licks away at her wet food.

010

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

I should transfer some of mine too. But I always meet new people that I must show photos of my cats to , so I need a bunch on my phone.

000

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

Ask them to provide safe bike storage elsewhere

I picked two pails this year. After no blueberries at all last year, It felt like blueberry heaven.

Although I guess once everything burns, an environmental assessment will be much easier. And no trees to cut for line. This is sarcasm .

030

Maureen P @marathoncat.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

And it now seems mostly just to influence markets so some investors profit. We absolutely have no need to report so much. There is so much other important information and news that is no longer shared because they give him so much air time. Extremely frustrating!
