For anyone going to MCM COMIC CON London (10 days away!) here's my appearances schedule! Excited to see everyone! I'll also be walking about the con (mostly Friday) to see people, buy stuff in artist alley, etc. So if you see me feel free to come say hi, etc! ❤️

It's finally starting to feel like Fall/Autumn in Bristol now. So here's a favourite photo from Summer for me to remember it by. ❤️

Mass Effect is one of the rare series I play as a Male MC, just so I can romance Tali (and as much as I love Jen Hale as FemShep, there's something about Mark Meer as ManShep that fits the game better for me).

My maintenance guy is too much of a "geezer" to notice the nerd stuff I have, but the lettings agents are always SO excited that I have swords and armour and props on my stream background. XD

I have been so unwell since Friday. :( I'm so sick of soup, dry crackers and lucozade. I've managed to get out of bed and do some dishes, have a shower and put on fresh clothes today, so that's a big win IMO.

I only got an hour or so of sleep last night (ongoing insomnia issue) but in that hour I had this vivid dream that a beautiful, gothy/witchy, girlfriend surprised me with a visit to a cotswold spa hotel and told me she would make all the decisions so my brain could rest. I woke up and cried.

The WoW/Star Wars stuff worries me. Fortnitification, etc. I know it will sell like hotcakes. I just really, really, hope that Star Wars is not just a bolt on for 5.5e to fit DDB... If I see Monk; Path of the Jedi or "Sorcerer; Sith Origin" I will despair.

And he is right, they still need to do a lot of show. Arcana Unleashed was a good book IMO and I am hoping the team is going more in that direction. Greyhawk, Dark Sun, etc mean little to me, I want more tools & options for OUR worlds and campaigns that isn't tied to Nostalgia & Legacy.

As someone who was once very close to the WOTC team, and was a huge supporter/voice in their corner during the early days of the popularity rise 10 years ago, I am glad to hear what Dan is saying and seeing some of the things they are doing, but I am very sad to no longer be in that conversation. 💔

Got to improv my tits off tonight in HighRollers/DnD. Love it when I get to come up with fucked up, deeply personal, meaningful ritual magic bullshit with a player who is so deeply invested, creatively minded, and eager to explore terrible consequences for their character. <3

I call it "Iceberg Theory". I only develop as much of the world as the players are likely to crash into, with just enough below the surface for them to see it's more than just an obstacle. If they get curious and dive down, I develop more/make the iceberg bigger as I need to.

I don't think I follow methods? Or have anything so structured. My approach to worldbuilding has just been to always ask myself questions about everything. Why is this here? How is it here? Why is it important? How can it be used in an interesting way? Etc. I don't go deeper than I need to though.

I just got to write a very short section about the metaphysics/lore behind the concept of Magic and how it is used in my homebrew TTRPG world for my Campaign Setting book. I'm not very smart when it comes to sciencey/smart stuff, but it's fun to approach it as a creative!

An absolutely brilliant thread IMO. I had similar, but less well-thought out and reasoned , thoughts, when I saw the news about this. I just kept thinking that the new Dark Sun stuff just isn't going to hit the mark for anyone. But I've also got *0* stakes in this fight. DS was never my thing.
